I wouldn't even worry about the price of the fake stuff, you will likely quit it pretty quickly. I had Cope in my lip 100% of the time for 25 or more years.

When I quit 43 days ago, I went through 4 cans of SM and then switched to beef jerky. I went through 4 big bags of that and then switched to gum.

I keep gum and mints available but I never really use either as it's just nice to have an empty mouth now.
Oh little worm-dirt...you are so scary...F' OFF...!!!

today was pretty good, til i went to buy some more smokey mountain.  of course the only place that sells it is a tobacco/liquor store.  right on the door going in, nice ad for longhorn advertising how cheap it is.  smokey mountain is 3 bucks a can in kentucky.  i might have to start mail ordering the fake dip to avoid temptation
You will be surrounded by temptation all day, every day... but you held your quit today despite the temptation. That is bada$$ brother. Way to stare the nic B in the eye and bat her to the ground. You are doing great. Keep battling for today. You can do this! Quit with you!
Great job on your quit. I do remember looking at those cans behind the counters with desire. Looking at adds and such and wondering how I was going to make it through the day. The thing is,,, them cans and adds don't deserve your desire. They deserve your hate.

It gets easier once you start building that hate. Your brain is still in love. Reach deep and start telling that brain what's up!!! Start telling that brain how your going to begin hating the poison. Now I walk into a convenient store and within myself i'm cursing at them cans. I hate the poison brother. I woke up this morning hating it and I'll hate it all day. Read my signature line. You have it in you to hate something so much it makes you sick. You've probably been taught all your life how hate is bad.

This is one time in your life where hate is ok. All that hate you've kept bottled up,,,, LET IT OUT!!!! SCREW THE POISON!!!!! Quit with you today.
Order the samplers from Hooch and SMS. Both of them break down to $2.something a can.
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

its been 17 years, 9 smoking and 11 dipping with some overlap.
Now your 2 days without. Great job. One day at a time and you can have back a lot of what the poison has stolen. Never again for any reason and you can keep it. Quit with you.

I first picked up dip in the army while i was still a smoker. After i got married, the cigarettes bothered her, but the dip was easier to hide, so while i quit smoking, i continued to dip. I went from skoal and copenhagen to my current monkey, longhorn fine cut natural. Im just sick of being gross and my 3 year old is starting to ask me about it, "what are you eating?" Im armed with smoky mountain classic with jack daniels added, and its pretty similar to longhorn. I was fiending this morning, but it passed. this is my second day without dip.

Congratulations for making a solid choice! How long have you been an addict to Nicotine?

You need to understand why you are quitting, write it down and make sure that it is for you, everyone else can celebrate your win but the win is all your's.

Drink lots of water, have gum and mints on standby, brace for some weight gain.

Read all that you can take in then read it again tomorrow. Join your Quit Group "Pre-Hof December 2013", post roll daily, get phone numbers and hold yourself accountable for your actions.

Welcome to KTC NK.

First things first, you need to go and find your quit group and post roll. You being in the Army, (thanks for your service) will understand the brotherhood and accountability we are all about.

Once you post roll, you make a promise for that day you will not use nicotine in any form. Then do it again tomorrow, one day at a time. Hit the welcome center link, above for some general reading.

Your first few days are going to suck. Drink lots of water, LOTS, get your seeds and gum and fake ready whatever it needs to not put nic into your system. Welcome to the site and I am sure others will chime in. I quit with you today. Go own it.
