with my habit.
Welcome, Gabby. I've seen that you have gotten some good advice from Lipi and have been posting in Nov. That is great. You need to slow down time, breath deep and focus on beating your craves just for the immediate moment that you are in. They won't last long. You can stand anything for a few minutes, right. The craving will pass with or without nicotine. But if you use nic, they will never get better.
I got a rush out of beating craves. I didn't always realize they were going on but when I did, I would stop whatever I was doing, take a few deep breaths and focus. In a matter of seconds I would feel in control again. Then pop some seeds or fake in and continue my day. If I can do this, you can.
I hate to belabor the point, but don't feel like it was really clearly addressed and it is important.
This is not a habit. Smelling your finger after you scratch your belly button is a habit. This is an addiction. You are an addict. How do I know? Because I'm an addict.
That little fact, although mainly semantics, puts this battle into the proper perspective. We can never again for any reason (NAFAR) use nicotine. When you think about it, many people go through life without ever using nicotine. I want to be like them.
Proud to quit with you, Gabby.
PM me if you need anything.
