Desire: increases resolve and determination.

Nicotine didn't do jack shit for me. Didn't matter the situation. Regardless if it was a victory, failure, stabilizer, or social. Nicotine was the biggest lie and deception in my life.

Everything I thought it did for me, it didn't. Just hate the shit so much that even if you were being tortured, you would rather be tortured and tormented than surrender to the lie of tobacco and nicotine.

As an addict, never focus past today. Everyday you wake, go to battle to win. No nic, Not today. Win each day and as they add up, you will enjoy kicking the shit out of the nic bitch.

Relish the pain and enjoy the hurt and suck of breaking the chains. Fresh start? Time for you to own that. Fresh starts aren't easy even if the break is clean, it takes time to heal. Day after Day.

You can do this. Reach out to your group and bleed together and embrace the suck!

258 days no nic for me and I haven't caved. I don't look to tomorrow. I quit today and focus on surviving and winning my match today.

Welcome to hell. You're going to hate it but if you stick with it and go undefeated to the HOF, you will feel a freedom and end up loving the journey to freedom...You will never want to repeat it either.
Quit And Be Free

no patches no nic gum no once in a while dip. just gum seeds and whatever else i can find to stay off the shit. Ihonestly caved cause i was a jackass and stayed with my gf after she put me in the hospital twice. I was so aggravated so naturally i went back to dipping because it was a familiar fix. I was stupid thats what it really comes down to.
but here i am new job no gf new state so im ready for that fresh start. Any advice would be great. Like what got you through the first 2-5 days. Thanks!!
Don't worry about quitting forever, quit day by day. You may find that early on you may find success quitting hour by hour. I got through the first week on pure will power. I didn't want to lose that battle, I stuck whatever I could find in my mouth. You can do this, put your mind to it. An attitude goes a long way!

Hi I am Jim and I have been here before.  Dipping has caused hell in my life and ready to wage war on it once again.  This time for  the last time.  I am worried about my health and got rid of all stressers in my life.  I am ready to quit.  New job kicked the gf to the curb.  Ready to start fresh in this life.  Just need to figure out how to make this shit easier.  Any support would be great.
What happened?
Why did it happen?
What are you going to do differently this time?

In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. Diver I need to ask if you have posted roll? You have received and will receive tremendous support in this effort if you join our program. We have been urging you for some time now to do this.

Before you spout off about our program and the support and whatnot, please read this thread:

Introduction by Dipshit

and

index.php?showtopic=120

If you have posted roll, I'm with you. You have my support as well as my brothers and sisters. If you haven't, read that thread and then go post roll. If you haven't, you read that thread and decide not to post roll, I'm going to ask you to get your swollen vagina and weak ass garbage out of here. Its our way or nothing. I don't think anyone can stop you from posting in this thread. But I don't think it would do you much good if no one is giving you feedback other than hoping your balls drop and you put your word down that you quit with November.

Souliman throws open the doors, walks through the crowd chanting "BRING THE QUIT...BRING THE QUIT..." and gets into his Quit Mobile of Terror and lays a patch not before exclaiming "I got real bitches to save. I'm outta here."

Video on How to post roll: http://www.killthecan.org/roll/

If you cannot figure out How to Post Roll, add a reply to your quit group saying "Day 1 - please add me to roll call" and someone will add your name.

Do this now.

Souliman out.

I dont need the beat down from you guys, what I do need is yall to tell me what helped you through this shit.
Sayin you don't need a beatdown gets you nowhere here. No one on this site gives a rat's ass what you "need" unless you are quit. Don't believe me? scroll down through the introductions page and look at my first post "10 years dipping" I fought these guys for two days saying I needed support and understanding not judgement and their quit philosophy.

Want to see support instead of a beatdown? Post roll, that's the only way to get it. Until your name is on the November page you won't get shit from these guys, because you're just lip service "I want to quit, I want to quit, I want to quit"

It's been 4 days for me and it's getting better and I couldn't have done it alone.
If you want to stay quit, post roll every morning, forget all the outside factors that you are turning into excuses and quit.

It's that simple.

As far as tips and tricks go, Fake snuff works wonders on the habitual cravings, reading this site helps for the nic cravings, water water water during the day and keep your mouth shut if you know an arguement is on the horizon. Better to take a "loss" with your s/o, boss, or anyone else, than to explode and look like a fool and say things that are nicotine driven instead of clear headed.
Good advice...follow it please.

Welcome and PM me if you need anything.

jmiah
Damned good advice HM. You've come a long way since those first two days.

Proud to be quit with you.
Appreciate it.

--I'll quit with you tomorrow DChogs.
Why not quit tonight?? Why tomorrow?? Post roll tonight and quit, and post roll tomorrow and quit! Why procrastinate with the nic bitch brother??? I been battling with the nic demons for 90 some odd days now and thanks to my strong will to quit and KTC Im kicking ass!! Nicofiend
Probably should have clarified that a bit. Tomorrow will be day 5 for me, you can check the roll. However I do appreciate the words and the motivation. I'll remember them in the coming days, proud to be quit with you Nicofiend.
Highway, way to go!! Proud to be quit with you today! nico
