So I really dont want to sound like an ass, But i am 25 hours nic free and I am not finding this difficult. Time will tell, But nicotine seems to Be a it of a pussy 'na na'
Don't get too cocky... she owned your ass for 11 years. Every +1 is a victory. Celebrate each one in turn...
She'll fight you in some way. I think my first few hours were pretty smooth too, outside of the habit of having something in my face. The suck came on pretty strong later. Don't let it sway you if it hits. In the meantime, enjoy the smooth times as well- they can give you energy to get through tougher times.
listen to these guys...stay vigilant. I cruised through days 1-3 because I was just so pleased with myself. Then I got whacked across the head with a sack of bricks and walked around like a zombie for a week. I hope you cruise through this but chances are she will come for you.
yes, yes, yes.....listen to these guys BandR.....

she will come...just make sure you are ready with your quit plan...

definitely celebrate the easier days, but make sure your are prepared for the not as easy ones for sure. It may even be her making you feel cocky today, with plans of coming at you hard tomorrow..

Be Ready for her.....

Bike, welcome to our April 2014 quit group! You are where I was 7 days ago so I am living proof that 7 days is possible. I dipped a can a day for 30 years (10,950 cans +/-). Skoal was $0.80 a can when I started. You can do it!

It won't be fun or easy and there will be days (like tomorrow) where you'll wonder "why the fuck am I even worried about it?".

When that happens, come here to your introduction and type out how you're feeling, use those adorable little smilies 'Finger' and tell us how it is.

We will smile knowingly and tell you that it gets better and your story will help us to stay quit one more day.

That's what you have found with KTC where it ain't Kick the Can, its KILL that motherfucker! You are in the right place!

First, thanks for your service, Bike. Second, congrats on making a great choice!!! My two cents...

You said that we're "a bunch of people I don't know." REALLY?!!! I think you do. In fact, I think we know each other pretty well...tired of dipping, googled "how to quit," found this site, like the no non-sense approach, lied to ourselves about quitting in the past, knew we had to quit but justified "one more" for years, started when you were young because your were bored or thought it was cool or something? That pretty much describes every person on here.

Now, take it one more step...look at the Quit Groups. Look at all of those names. They all have almost identical stories as you. And they are all living free ONE DAY AT A TIME like you can too. They were all once where you are right now. They all know what you're going through. They all have your back. Would a stranger make that kind of commitment to another stranger? I don't think so. You are among friends here...exceptional bad-ass quitting friends. So, reach out, get involved and enjoy your new life.

Post roll, give your word, read everything you can. YOU CAN DO THIS, BROTHER!!! Oh, and nice to meet you, too.

So I posted Roll, but messed it up...rookie mistake. Just picked up a can of smokey mountain and havent dipped in 3 hours! Sounds like a short time, but that is the longest I have gone without a dip in years....
Every minute you don't dip is a victory. Don't sell yourself short. You're in for a helluva fight, but you already have the tools to win. Just be the BAMF that got you to this site, quit like hell today, wake up and repeat.

Read everything you can on the site, especially when you're feeling weak. The information will motivate you and will arm you with all the knowledge you will need to beat the nic bitch once and for all.

I quit with you today and everyday you're boss enough to put yourself before the poison.

PM me if you need a number for support.
"I am a nicotine addict and there is nothing I can do about it; I am also a quitter, and that, I can do plenty about." - Grizzly25

Today I choose to quit because today is the only day I have control over today. Tomorrow is a new day and when tomorrow is today, I'll control it too, but not until then. I will win this fight with today...

I don't really know where to start with this Intro, it still seems weird to talk aout myself to a unch of people I don't know. I started dipping when I joined the Army 11 years ago and I really like. I have told myself I need to quit several times along the road, but I always seem to find a way to justify not quiting. I started google searching this morning for "plans to quit", but the "don't e a pussy, and just f-ing do it" approach of this site is very appealing to me. I am tired of spending the money and having jacked up gums, and all the other S that comes from this stuff. I just walked ack to my desk from throwing away a half full can and I am looking forward to the end of this journey, hopefully it is not too rough... wish me luck!
No luck required just balls! Man up, post roll (it's a promise to keep nicotine out of your system today) keep your word and repeat. We quit today and so can you. It's such a simple concept but takes will power and honor (keeping your word). I know you can do it because of your service thank you for that. I quit with you today!

Welcome aboard Bike. Forget luck. We quit here on our own, with each others help...not luck. Sounds like you are ready to join us. KTC is a no-nicotine quit program. What matters around here is that you want to quit for you. As you may gather, most of the 16,000 boys and girls on this site are pretty hard core quitters that donÂ’t want to listen to any reasons, excuses or rationale for using nicotine. And they wonÂ’t listen no matter how hard you sugar coat it. What they will do is provide you with the tools to quit and help you along that rough patch of track. They will be there for you every step of the way to freedom. They will be there when you are hurting, when you are in the suck, when you feel like raging, venting or just talking to someone on the phone. Around here, we call that Brotherhood. Joining us means you will do a few things. First and foremost, you will post Roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the April, 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. The reason you are put in April is that will be the month if you join us today that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date.

Now that you know the basics, it is time to read all you can on this site. Go to the welcome center and that will get you started. Post roll and look up at your inbox (1). That is a personal message from me with my telephone number. Lets get your quit started today. Wayne
