Aye. I have never really had sores. I used to get cuts all the time from the big ass dips! HATED them with a passion. I'm ready to eat a bag of Jones : Salt And Vinegar !

The lump does have me worried. The Ear Aches have been going on for months.

I have been very sick since I quit, Allergies, Bronchitis , Cold, sneezing and Ear Aches.. Looking forward to getting this crap out of me for good. 'Remshot'

Welcome! You have made the best decision of your life. KTC is an awesome community of people who will support you, but you have to make the system work for you. You only get out of it what you put into it. So, the following must be observed to succeed at KTC:

1. POST ROLL DAILY WITHOUT EXCEPTION. DO IT FIRST THING EVERY SINGLE DAY. IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR QUIT.

2. GET PHONE NUMBERS OF MEMBERS IN YOUR GROUP WHO WILL BE PART OF YOUR "CAVE" PLAN. YOU'LL FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THAT LATER.

For now, stay busy, drink water, and do whatever you need to do to keep from putting poison in your lip. Tell all your personal friends and family what you are doing, and direct them to the site, and provide them links to what you're going through. You need a lot of support. Good luck and I look forward to seeing you in the HOF!

Rock on SaVee. Go ahead into your profile and change your quit date too, to September 14. You don't want that nagging voice in your head saying "Well, I said I would quit by Tuesday so..." DON'T LISTEN TO IT.

You're quit now. Congratulations. Keep your word, post roll, and you'll stay quit ODAAT.

Some good advice I got my first few days on the site:

1. All you need to do to succeed is just DON'T PUT THAT SHIT IN YOUR MOUTH.

2. The KTC equation is Accountability + Brotherhood = Success. That means post roll every day, and expand your network of fellow quitters. When you're struggling, reach out.
"Post roll. Post more if you want to. That's the beauty of the place: We ask you post roll. We ask you to be honest. That's all. No more. No less. Be there for your brothers and ask for help when you need it." - Wastepanel 10/6/14

"What would you do to save your own life? If you were fighting cancer today would you suffer through Chemo, surgeries, try new a therapy? change your diet, go to church? What intolerable hell would you endure to simply live. When you have thought long and hard about that, think on this. Why not apply that attitude to your quit. Suffer through the temporary discomfort of withdrawal to achieve your freedom from a slow painful demise via nicotine. Your in the ring already- fight like you mean it." - Skoal Monster 10/8/14

Put your head down and keep pushing, when you get the urge and are finding it hard to fight it, get on here ASAP, read a hof speach, read a thread, post on the future hof group, kick nicatine in the face!

As my fellow quit brothers have told you, we don't hope or try or worry about tomorrow. We just quit here at KTC....set your mind to quitting and get to work. First off, if you have ceased all use of Nicotine then you need to post roll today. We don't wait the 72 hours to post roll, we do that as soon as we quit. Also you/we are nicotine addicts so remember that fact, this is not a habit, you are an addict so the use of nicotine in any shape or form, cigs, cigars, pipe, chew, vapor etc....is you problem. I will tell you this, if you follow the KTC plan, you cannot fail if you are a man of your word. Post roll promising to not use nicotine for 24 hours and then do it again the next day. Cinch up your dress and get ready for the suck  the fog of the next week and get quitting.

Quit hoping and wishing, do it! As for the sores and lumps if they persist for a couple weeks get it checked out if for nothing but your own satisfaction. If it's nothing and it goes away that is when you really need to be careful because that's just another good reason to postpone quitting. Now since your ready (if you truly are) just post role and keep your word every damn day!

Welcome aboard Matt. Glad to see you here making the choice to quit. A few things you should know. There is no hoping or trying here. We quit, plain and simple, cold turkey, no bullshit or sugar coating.

You are a nicotine addict, and the first three days are gonna suck. No way around it. But it gets better. Get in with the December group and post roll. Do it every day early and stick to your promise. Take it ODAAT and before you know it you'll be posting your HOF speech.

Next, get some phone numbers of guys in your group and vets alike. If you ever want to dip, or if you're ever tempted to cave, call them and ask them if you can have a pinch. You'll appreciate the tough love.

Embrace the suck, drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol for a while, and you're gonna fo just fine. Proud to quit with you
You're Quit, Not Cured. KTC will help remind you of the difference.

God give me Strength
« on: September 14, 2014, 09:44:00 AM »
I"m Matthew. I have been chewing about 13 years. Smoked for 2 years before that. Time and time again I have tried to quit.. struggling like the rest. I have tried a lot of methods.. cold turkey being one of the worst ways for me and my anger/temper. I have been Vaping with my chewing to ween my self off the tobacco. Its been helping me alot with the crave of keeping something in my mouth. Last Sunday I stopped Chewing to begin just Vaping!! TODAY the vaping is gone as well and I'm ready to say I'm nicotine free in 72 hours when it is out of my body. I hope I can come here daily and and Postroll and depend on a group of people that have struggled as I have.

On the other note I found a very small lump on my left jaw almost on my back molar. I'm praying god is not taking me down a path of teaching and it is a path of cleansing me. I would love any advice if any one has had one on there face , jaw. I have no cuts, discoloration in my mouth, no sores. I have always been very particular about cleaning/listerining and brushing my teeth and my mouth 2-3 times a day.

May God help us all..Daily!

'Finger' you Nicotine.
