Are you quit today Braeden??? where you at, bro? I dont see your name on yesterday's or today's roll.

Take your life back! Dump your cans into the toilet, flush, and post a day 1. I'll be waiting to see your name in the July 2013 group.

It is so easy for our minds to put up smokescreens to hide the damage we are doing to our body. My mind does not want to lose the comfort of being able to have a dip throughout a rough day or lose the thought of how good one feels after a good event has occurred. It has become the crutch that I thought of as just a petty habit that I good never have take every my daily life. Time to quit this poison, but I'll be needed some help from whomever I can now. Friends are all to weary of me saying I am going to quit then never do so their faith is gone in me when it comes to killing the can. This is why I am here and I am giving this a go. Thanks for your time in reading this guys!
Welcome Braeden, you making one of the best decisions you will ever make in your life. It may be difficult at first, but it definitely can be done here. I agree, it is amazing how our minds put up those smokescreens (aka nicotine controlling our minds). It can be very difficult to see through them and realize what is truly the right thing to do. At 55 days quit the fog has finally lifted and I see the same things you are talking about in the people around me..."I can quit whenever I want"..."I'm just dipping until the 3 tests I have this week are over"..."I'm just smoking a few cigs a day to move away from dip and then quit everything" I could go on forever with quotes from my roommates and friends.

All of these things are lies controlled by the nic bitch. Take back control.

Sco's lesson for today.

The "comfort" you feel from being able to have a dip throughout a rough day is really the comfort you feel when you ingest nicotine to stop nicotine withdrawal. You are an addict. You feel "comfort" when you stop withdrawing from your drug.

The day I admitted I was addicted to nicotine was the day I controlled nicotine instead of nicotine controlling me. It does not make quitting easy, it just means I call the shots.
Damn Sco you fucking nailed it right there brother!!Thank you for sharing that.

Congrats on the decision Braeden! Follow KK's advice, and I would also add that its a big help early in your quit to have lots of things like fake chew, sunflower seeds, hard candy like jolly ranchers, gum, etc. Those help with the oral fixation of dipping, while you deal with the withdrawal from nicotine.

DONT use the nicotine gum, patch, etc - those just prolong your addiction and will not help you quit.

Stick close to this site, jump into the "LIVE CHAT" area to meet some of us quitters, and you will do just fine. Our motto here is One Day At A Time - so dont think about "forever" or even tomorrow - just promise to get thru today without nicotine. then do the same thing tomorrow morning.

Welcome, to KTC. So are you quit or just thinking about it? If your thinking about it do it, now and get ready.

Hit the Welcome Center, read up, learn how to post roll, and do it everyday. We are about accountability here, your word is your bond. We don't ask you to quit for a month at a time we ask for one day at a time. Anyone can quit anything for one day so do it. Then tomorrow post roll again and quit for that day.

Prove your friends wrong, you can quit, I did about 15000 other on this site have so grab your nuts and go.
