Single asset allocation is ridiculous.

As part of a diversified strategy, if you want something artificially low and are willing to wait, try renminbi.

Welcome back.

How the fuck did this forum help you in the past? Obviously you weren't taking it seriously. Quit for 8 months with just over 220 posts? Why'd you feel you were ready to leave? Why was roll call not a top priority for you? Why'd you reach a point where you were quit for "about 8 months" instead of precisely 237 days?

Not that I judge people by their green dot garnering skills, but your green dots are about as pathetic as your last "quit". Actually, it wasn't a quit, not even an unsuccessful quit - it was a break. A fucking vacation. A tourist trap. Get involved and stay accountable.

Now let's just focus on the present and not worry about besting your last failure.

Nuff said.
Go screw yourself. You should know that when someone is focusing on a goal you dont bring up the past. I did that on my own. So once again, go screw yourself. Good to be back : )
Cool man. I'll just hang back and let you fall back into the same old routine since you were so successful last time around.

My only question is - why will this time be different? What's your plan? What new knowledge are you bringing in this time?

Shit - that's three questions. I'd appreciate answers and I'd imagine it would be beneficial to many other quitters on this site. Or you can just keep being a tough guy.
People have different ways of quitting. My way is day by day. If I were to answer your questions I would be going outside of what works for me. I can only tell you that today I will not put it in my mouth. I hope you can understand this. This is why I was so upset with your first post. Because here I am quitting and you are bringing up a past failure. That doesnt help me much.
Day by day. That's how I roll as well.

I realize I was a major dick in that first post. I was in your shoes a while back as well. I unsuccessfully quit through a class aimed at smokers back in 07. I lasted about 8 months as well.

It took a lot of work for me to realize what day by day really means. It took a lot of reflection to understand why I failed in the past. Hiding from my past mistakes only resulted in failed breaks along the way. Discussing and understanding my past mistakes has made me a stronger quitter today.
Wow, well congrats on your quit. I just took on a new career being a commodity broker and it is high pressured and about as fast paced as you can get. I probably didnt pick the best time in my life to quit but my health is worth more than money. I had a guy on the phone this morning that didnt listen to me when I told him he needs to buy gold and dump his other investments and I verbally abused him hard. Ah, ya gotta love day 1. LOL
You picked the best time to quit. No time like the present. You've got this today.
I can't agree with the gold play - but good luck on your quit.
You cant agre with the Gold play? Lets talk again in a few months. Your outside of your mind. You must be in the fog.
