Broccoli-saurus and Gregor met for the first time and they YouTubed how to install cabinets and cut countertops and got work done. Met in Beaumont and helped a single mom get out of her Fema trailer and back into her house in time for the holidays. Epic KTC meetup. Two guys that had helped each other quit nicotine in back to back months coming together strong to help somebody else in an entirely different way! And we might of even learned something in the process! Shoutout to Rocketman who helped a bit with the finance as well. Brotherhood coming together strong to change lives!

If over the course of a day I consumed 5 lbs of eggplant (conceivable), that'd be the rough equivalent of smoking a quarter of a cigarette.

Is there an official KTC stance on the consumption of nicotine containing vegetables/fruits such as tomatoes and eggplants?

 'm1'

Nothing 'official' for sure.

The topic has come up over the years. My personal opinion is it would be ridiculous to worry about eating tomatos / eggplants ('puking') but I spose others may feel differently.

Any quitters here who can comment on how quitting affected their blood pressure and what the timeline was before a change in BP occurred?

I hope somebody comes along that can tell you.  Quitting dipping helped my dickie doo stay hard, I can tell you that.  All the chemicals we put in our bodies have consequences that were very unintended.  With every day that you're nicotine free, your body heals itself a little more.

Good to have lead in your pencil...and someone to write to, lol.

My blood pressure went back to normal around day 50 give or take. I also cut down my coffee intake from a ridiculous amount to a half ass normal human consumption level which also seemed to help. Take it day by day and yours will come down too.  Can also confirm lead in the pencil = way better.

Lance From SD and Theo3wood randomly ran into one another at the Columbus airport! Theo had this to say, "The strangest things happen when you quit dipping. In the summer of 2008, this guy and I both found KTC, promised not to dip for a day, and here we are...running into each other in Columbus, Ohio; 7,553 days of quit between us....Theo3wood & LancefromSD. Yup."

smiller1207- 73- I was home alone this past Monday (wife at work and I did not go back until Tuesday). First time I had a whole day to myself since I began my quit. As soon as my wife walked out the door, an intense craving hit with that little bitch of a voice inside my head..."You could just have one dip today and go right back to your quit. It would be easy to do and just not tell anybody". That fucking voice kept getting louder. I finally got on this site and read some of the heartbreaking stories. I got out my "give up" contract and read it. I went outside and just wandered around my yard (probably looked like a crazy dude to my neighbors). I didn't care. Finally, after about an hour of "intense arguing with that voice", it went away. That was day 71. It was a reminder that you might go weeks without a craving and then one day, it will hit you like a freight train. Stay vigilant. Do not give into that nicotine devil who will give you every excuse to have a dip. Stay strong my brothers!!

Way to go! That's a HUGE victory right there!
