Welcome. You are among friends. You're a bad ass quitting mofo - you just don't know it yet. Here's my advice:

1. Post roll every day. Don't worry about needing computer skills to be able to figure it out. The dude who set up the site in 1998 didn't have skills either.

2. Develop better habits. Instead of a morning dip and dump, post roll on your iPad or smartphone while you're kidding yourself trying to grunt one out so early in the quit. Don't worry - you'll be back to normal with a vengeance very soon.

3. Buy fake dip. Seeds, jerky snuff, Smokey Mountain, tootsie rolls, chew up one of your fingers - but DO NOT put any more nicotine in your body, dammit! Even if you "slip," it's still nicotine, genius. So when you're putting nicotine in your body, you're not quitting (I had to learn that one the hard way).

4. Excercise. You'll notice that you'll be able to breathe better and your endurance and willingness to walk/run/bike/lift will be available.

5. Take some sleep aids and maybe some Valium to keep you from turning into the Incredible Hulk. I didn't take Valium, but had a friend who did and said that it really helped his edginess. I take Ambien at night on occasion to help with the sleeplessness.

6. You're doing something hard. As a man, we work hard but this is a hard mental challenge. Embrace it, and fight through the next 3-4 days. After day 3-4, you're good on the physical side. The mind will play evil tricks on you because that's where the nic Bitch lives. It's never right to hit a female. Unless it's the nic Bitch - she needs a good kick in the poo-nanny every chance you get. Keep her in her place and out of your head.

7. If you're married and hiding dipping has been a frustration for your wife, prove your sincerity by buying some nicotine test kits online and showing her your clear test from time to time. Knowing that you have to produce a clear test is good motivation, too.

You got this, bro. Knock it out today, and come back tomorrow for another round. We're here for you, before you, beside you and around you. Reach out, and we'll help.

Hello y'all

Im new here and this is my first post. Ive dipped for about 12 years, I always had one in or I had to have a cigarette burning. I hate this shit, but I cant stay away from it and unless its got its hooks in you, you dont know how bad it is. This time I'm gonna win though. No more patches or gum or transferring my addiction to something else. My day one, my ground zero. Thanks for your being here.
Welcome! Click on the pink "Welcome Center" link above. Read each entry. Post roll in July. One day at a time. One crave at a time. I've been here for years and I can't guarantee I'll be quit tomorrow. Today - guaranteed.

Welcome. Today is special for you. Also special for me. Today is my 100th day of being quit and I know you can do this with the rest of us here. I smoked and chewed for 53 years, and am quit now, one day at a time. Drink water, put something in your mouth, read a lot here on site, use chat room for tough times, and know you can be successful in your quit. It does change a lot after the first couple of days.

Hi Chris and welcome to KTC, brother. The next few days are going to be a bear my friend. You are going to drop into the suck. Your going to feel foggy maybe drunk and just lost in general.

1. Water, drink so much if you pass a bathroom you should be pissing.
2. Seeds, gum, candy, whatever, you need to keep your mouth occupied.
3. workout, if you cant get a breath you cant crave
4. this group, explore the site read read read, knowledge is power.

This is your quit, keep it close, remember the feelings, cause you will not want to do this again.

Last, get involved, get number get names, get to posting and being accountable. It will make your quit stronger. I quit with you today.
