I have been free for over 48 hours. Quitting after 30 years of dipping. Counting on this site for support and information. Thanks in advance..
This site is counting on you to post your promise and then keep your word for today. Coming to Ktc is different than any quit attempt that you've ever tried because once your name is on roll, you are bonded to a group of peeps going through the same shit at the same time you are. It is one thing to let yourself down (like you have in past attempts) but you don't ever quit on your team.

Dude I know this all sounds whack right now. You are 2 days in to a successful break from an addiction that is as tough to break as heroin. Youve got to throw everything at it that you can. Everything.

I chewed like a madman for 25 years. I quit almost every day for most of those years 776 days ago Ktc and a group of men and women whose faces I had never seen gave me my freedom back. Check your pm for my phone number - add it to your arsenal and shoot me a text when the cravings start to jack with your brain or just to check in. We are all in the same boat. And together we all win. You won't believe how sweet freedom is.

Welcome aboard brother.
Proud to quit with you!

Here is the link to May 2015, this will be your quit group. Post roll, it is your daily promise to no use nicotine/chew.

Welcome to the site, Marsh. I will be looking for your Day 1 Roll post. I've got faith in you. PM me if you need help.

See my signature for videos on how to post roll (your group is May of 2015--it's based on when your 100th day of quit will hit).

Post roll; make contacts; become part of the identity of your group--all this helps our quit.

Welcome Marsh.

There is a lot of information on the welcome page.
If you are nic free then go over to the quit forums and look for May 2015. That is your group (and there are some fine quitters in your group).

Private message me if you need anything (uppers right of page).

I am back. I was on site last Feb and quit on 2/24. I read sight daily for a while and then got too comfortable in the quit. Started back up in late July and was on and off from then to 2/3/16. During that time I snuck around, lied to my wife, and let everyone down. I felt lost, ashamed, and embarrassed concerning chewing again. On 2/3 I decided to quit for the last time. I am doing well and taking one day at a time. Trying to win the trust of my wife back and move on to a better life without chew. I have never lied about anything else to her other than about chewing. I don't know why I did and have no explanation to her. I had chewed 30 years and had many days in 2015 I did not chew which is good. I am on day 10 and going strong. I love this site and will look to it for support moving forward. Thanks...
Marsh,
Congrats on your decision, the best one you will ever make, however;
But time for some tough love...
*Did you have a previous account?
*You know what we do here but it sounds like you didn't take advantage of it before. What are you going to do differently this time?
*Did you post roll? today?
* you have never quite before just took small breaks
Let us know if you are ready, post roll, get active and KTC support you and help you fight this addiction

As Spuds asked, I will repeat. Did you have an account on here before? If so, you need to use that one. Having 2 accounts is a no go here.

If you were here before, did you post roll? The process hasn't changed.

Some things are not adding up here.

Check out the Welcome Center and learn how to be a quitter.
Looks like Marsh is on his original account. Here is intro from last year: Marsh's Feb 2015 Post

Marsh, good stuff. You have to commit though. Make yourself accountable. Make that promise every day to your quit group and yourself. Your quit group is located here: May 2016 Quit Group. Talk about what you're going through, damn near all of us can relate. I'm on day 61 but this morning I quit for today. Tomorrow I'll worry about tomorrow. When I succeed today, I'll rinse and repeat tomorrow. Feel free to shoot me a private message if you need anything.

I quit with you today!
I have figured out how to post roll and have posted today. With my work schedule it will be hard to do every morning, but I will post roll daily. To answer some of the questions, I did not post roll on last time. I thought I had it kicked and learned I did not. Going about it differently this time. Thanks...
There are no excuses here. Like;
1. not good with computers, you are not the only one that says that and they have figured it out.
2. hard to post roll, unless you are in a combat zone you can make it work. Let May 2016 know your schedule and when they should expect you. Also, you can PM for my cell phone. Text me each day and I will post roll for you.

Also, you tried to quit last year, they exact same time. What is the date significance?

I posted support for you last year the same time. Let's not repeat this in 2017 when you have mouth cancer!
Idaho Spuds
Was it hard to throw in that nasty poison every morning like clockwork? Roll is too powerful and so simple to not utilize consistently. WUPPEDD (Wake up, piss, post every damn day) Making an excuse before any problem is a wreck waiting to happen. Start your quit off successfully. Don't repeat your previous nicotine breaks (because they weren't quits).
Marsh if you want to succeed its in your hand's! The one person they can make you a failure is the one you see when you brush your teeth! You probably gonna get your balls busted for failing first time, my philosophy, so what! Learn from it, be a man drink the kool-aid and don't go getting all butthurt, I'm with you on this! Quit on!
Exactly - learn from it which I have. You can only quit when you are ready and I was not ready. If that is bad, then I guess you can bust my balls which I can take. I have quit the final time and come here for support. If we want to bring up last year then all the power to you. I am about now and tomorrow and that is all that matters to me - not what happened last year.

I quit with you today!
I have figured out how to post roll and have posted today. With my work schedule it will be hard to do every morning, but I will post roll daily. To answer some of the questions, I did not post roll on last time. I thought I had it kicked and learned I did not. Going about it differently this time. Thanks...
