Quitting time

So today marks day 17. It all started with the recall. See here in Ontario Canada only straight cut skoal and Copenhagen are available. Flavoured tobacco was banned last year as part of the governments plan to reduce kids using the flavoured stuff.
On February 11 this year I headed to the store like every day after work to buy 2 cans of skoal straight long cut, yes 2 cans a day I would buy, not every single day but I would say I avageraged about 10 cans per week. So on this day I headed to the store and was told that skoal was recalled, I laughed at the guy and I said "it's going to kill me anyway. What could possibly be wrong with it " so needless to say I left empty handed. Went to another store and same deal, so I just came home and said to my wife "its going to be a long fricken night".
Well I made it that night and the next and the next. And here I am 17 days later, and had the urge tonight. So I went to the store and they still don't have any in stock yet. Maybe it's a blessing ? Because had they had some I would have wasted the last 17 days and been back to square one. After doing some reading on this site, I've realized having one dip is not worth it. Why go backwards? Why waste the last 2 and half weeks? Why start over again?
I just wanted to post and introduce myself and say that the mass recall was probably a good thing for me, because if I wasn't forced to quit I probably never would have until it was too late
