Quote from: sowilliamsOK, i made the decision yesterday after my wife asked me, nicely this time, to quit. I had actually been thinking about it for a while. Anyway, i made it through last night and so far this morning but i am definatly in the "fog" i read about on this site. I quit once before when i was in my 20's and stayed quit for about 12 years. One day i was fishing with a friend who dipped and made the fatal mistake of asking him for a dip. I thought one little dip wouldn't hurt anything. WRONG!!! I was hooked all over again at once. However, i don't remember quiting the first time being this hard, I think i am going crazy. I hadn't really wanted to quit myself but really do now that i know just what a hold it had on me. Where do i find my quit group?
It's my Day 1 too, you are my July 2015 bro.

I am not in a fog (yet) don't know what that is, but I sure know what rage/agitation is! My poor boys... oh well, they will know I am not to be messed with for a few days haha.

I have also tried several times to quit, but break down. I have a good feeling this time. I know it will be hard, but will get my support from KTC.

Peace out Brother
ChickDip,

You hanging in there? I'm on pins and needles. I can't believe what the nicotine must have been doing to my body to have this kind of withdrawal.
Hang tough, you two. This will pass.

I will be honest and tell you, it's going to get worse before it gets better, but it WILL GET BETTER!

And, it is so so so very worth the fight! You will never regret getting your freedom back. Ever.

Don't be afraid to reach out if you need help. That's why we're here.
Yea, I have my ups and downs SO, It usually comes out as raging... I do get to the point where I can't sit still and my skin itches, but then it passes.

hang in there Bro!
My vision would go blurry on me, and I'd get real light headed for no reason.

All those things you are feeling are good signs that your body is healing.
What is your major malfunction?!?!?!?!

Welcome to KTC man. I'm glad you've made the decision to quit. As the bear said post roll everyday and live your promise. Get numbers and get to know people if you need help with anything or just want to talk message me. Stay strong the fog sucks but it gets better.

Thumblewort

Sowilliams, you say you are going crazy this time. So don't do it alone. Post roll and meet fellow quitters that are probably going crazy too. The first week can be hell, get yourself accountable and make some friends.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

First off. Be sure you are quitting for you. The family will benefit but quit for yourself.
Second. Welcome. This place is awesome and works if you follow the plan.

The Plan:
Post roll daily. Do it early
Honor your word
Be active

Your group is July 15. That's the month you hit Hall of Fame (100 days)
topic/11069030/21/

Be sure to visit the Welcome Center and learn why we do what we do. You will also learn how to post roll there. Roll is the basic foundation of quitting here. It's your daily promise to not use nicotine.

12 year stoppage then how long have you dipped since restarting?
Listen to the walking bear.
Follow the walking bear.
Do as the walking bear does.

Then you too will find freedom and become a BA Quitter. I quit with you today.
I believe.....
