Congrats on the quit.
This place can work for you if you let it, use all the resources KTC has to offer.

Feel free to HMU if you feel like you are going crazy, I was there for a long time.

I quit with you today.
Been MIQ for two days....not a good thing, generally, for new quits. What I just emailed him through the KTC system....

Posting is EVERY DAY. Not just Monday thru Friday. I hope you're still quit, but weekends and new quits are dangerous combinations. If you don't have access to a computer, you can still use your smartphone to post roll. If you don't have a smartphone, you can text your quit promise in to another one of your quit group brothers. If you don't have any digits, you're not doing this accountability thing correctly. So, ball's in your court dude. You gonna quit or what?

Glad to see your name on bad ass roll call for Day 3!

It is the weekend, so be careful. You'll never have to relive the BS you are experiencing right now - but know that you've got a support team here cheering you on. This isn't easy. But it is so worth it.
^^^^^ what he said. Watch out for the triggers, avoid them, particularly booz if you have a few. No sense in adding to craves and such right? I avoided a lot of situations early in my quit.
I read up on here to help stay quit. This place works. Post roll, keep your Promise, repeat.

Dude, this is a great intro!

I want to share a few things... First, nicotine is wicked addictive, as you know. In the league of heroin. Now, let's talk about dip... One can has the nicotine of 3 packs of cigarettes. So, you were getting the nicotine equivalent of 6-9 packs is smokes every day. Nicotine is a horrible thing, it does nothing but take. You really liked that first buzz, right? And you've been chasing it ever since, right? When was the last time you felt that buzz?

I have a great friend that chewed for 25 years. His name is Todd, and his "handle" is Traumagnet. He chewed for 25 years. A tough all American Iraq soldier. In March I met him in Vegas and we ate crab legs and flew down Fremont Street on a zip line. His thread is at the top of this page. You, and everyone, would benefit from reading it. Nicotine takes. The longer you feed the addiction, the more it takes. Todds intro is the ultimate story of the bullshit that nicotine really is.

Post roll. Keep your word. You can do anything for a day. Anything. You can quit for a day. We will help. If you need a contact number or if I can help, shoot me a pm. This journey is hard, but it is rewarding and possible. The alternative is not rewarding.

You've got this.
wow. I never knew there was that much nicotine in a can. I always assumed there was maybe the same or maybe a little less in a can than cigarettes. And yeah. I loved that initial buzz I got. Hell, hit me so hard my first time that I passed out in a chair. Probably should've taken the hint and stopped then.

I'm definitely gonna look up your buddys thread. However I'm still pretty new at this. Where can I find it?

Thanks for the support. Just taking it one day at a time.
topic/1010002/1/

This will take you to page 1 of 57 pages of his intro. There is a lot of good stuff in this intro all the way through but I assure you it is worth your time. At the bottom of the page you can go to page 2... 3...

Nicotine is a wicked beast, an you'll always be an addict. But you can also win. One day at a time.

Todds hope is that his story saves one life. Use his experience to help you win, man.

Edward,

What kind of grinds do you get? I've heard good things about cowboy coffee grinds but have been kind of skeptical. Also does the smokey mountain and Jakes mint work? Been chewin through toothpicks for the last 4 hours. I need to find something a little more fulfilling

You've made a great choice quitting and coming here.

Every guy has tools that work for him. Posting roll here is the first. Make the promise, keep the promise. I also use Smokey Mountain, Jakes Mint, Grinds and I chew on toothpicks when I get a craving that lasts longer than 10 minutes. Try whatever works for you, just stay off the Nic.

PM me if you want my numbers for support, and I'll see you tomorrow at Roll Call.

Bud not much more for me to add then what was already said. Right here alone in this thread you have some bad ass quitter in action on your side.

If you need help finding your group, let us know. If you need help posting, go to youtube and search how to post roll on KTC.

Take care man!

Welcome. The way this place works is you post your promise to not use nicotine for the day, just one day. Then you do the same thing tomorrow. You do that by posting Roll in your Quit Group, which is pre-HOF October '16.

Make your promise. Keep it. Repeat.

Get to know the guys in your quit group. They have your back if you have theirs.

Hey guys,

My names Joe. 23, gonna be 24 in a couple months. I've been dipping since I was 16. I didn't do it heavily at first. I turned 18 and started dipping heavily, about a can and a half a day and it just kept getting worse. I quit once before for about 6 months. Then One day I figured I would just snag a pinch from a friend for old times sake. Been dipping ever since. As it stands now I've been going through 2-3 cans a day. Ive anted to quit for the past couple weeks but couldn't find the courage to do so. As I sit here writing this I'm currently all of 10 minutes without a dip. Which is probably the longest time without a dip in probably a month. I have one in all day long usually. One right after the next. I found this site looking for alternatives so I can at least have something in my mouth. So I'm coming here now in hopes of finding some support to quit something that has been incredibly hard for me. Both physically and financially. I chew grizzly wintergreen. Or chewed I should say. I've tried straight, I've tried different flavor a of skoal. Mint. Berry. Levi garret. You name it I've tried it. I've literally run out of money for chew days before pay day and I've been so selfish that I've gone through all my empty cans and scraped up any leftovers I could find just to get one last one in. Through this experience I've learned that I actually have an incredibly addictive personality. Haha honestly I feel a little ridiculous as there are some on here who have been chewing for 10 times as long as I have. But I'm in a situation where I need a little help and as hard as it is for me to ask for it, here I am. So that's my story
You are here though, that's all that matters. We promise here for one day. You already know you can do it, you've done it before.

All that addictive personality is just noise. This is one of the most addicting things on the planet. My cousin's heroin addict wife found out I quit and when I told her I went turkey she said "cold turkey with nicotine? Are you retarded?" You already know how a 6 month stoppage can go away, and you know how to prevent that. So let's win this time. Go fine October 2016, that's your group, put 'day 1' there
