Yes, sores and strange pains and soreness in the mouth, jaw, and throat is normal...or at least it was for me. My body and mind did all kinds of weird things during the first couple months of my quit - not days, not weeks, but months. After a while, and after going to the dentist and the doctor, a couple of times, with panic attacks that I thought were heart attacks, I finally just let my body and mind do their thing and stopped freaking out about every little tingle down my arm or foot going numb and similarly bizarre things like that.
Stay strong and you'll get through this.
Atomic fireballs, huh? I used to love those on long road trips (when I wasn't dipping Skoal). I haven't had one or even seen one in many years. I used to see them in convenience stores in the candy aisle, but I haven't been in a convenience store in ages, either. Quitting tobacco eliminated the need to enter those places, I guess. I'll have to find some!
