Feelin great the last couple of days at work, until some serious work stress hit this afternoon.
Never realized that stress was a chew trigger - thought it was relaxation, beer and/ or a pick me up. Chewing 3 sticks of gum. Hangin in there.

20 years ago. One little Oliver Twist container a month. "not really chewing" I thought. Even quit for 3 years around the turn of the century. Fast forward to now and those damn pouches make it all so "clean". Easy to hide. Got to where I needed a pouch before a morning shower. Had em in while doing athletic events - not just the usual fishing, golf, drinking, after meals, afternoon wake up at work.
even had a borderline panic attack on a recent flight cause I didn't have any chew.

Time to shut it down for good!! Thanks for this site and the support I'll need/get and hopefully give in the coming days, weeks and months.
Welcome Foppa! You can do this, just like the other badass quitters here!

It is amazing how many of us relate to the depression and panic attacts! I can't count the times I drove 70 miles one way to our nearest town for nothing but my dip! The though of running out, oh shit!! Now the freedom is the best thing I've ever done for myself! You can do this like all the rest of us crazy addicts! Get numbers, you'll need contacts on bad days. Pm me anytime.

Ha the panic attack...I was training for a new position at a company I used to work for, i realized I had left my cope in the car after we had left the yard...I was freaking out all morning when finally I told my trainer, " we gotta get to a gas station or I'm gonna fuckin kill somebody" lol exact words.... I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that feeling anymore.

Foppa,
It's good to see someone who wants to live free and not die young.
To save your life you will have to fight for it.
You're not here by accident...read everything here, read everyday for the next 139 days.
A quit is a quit, not a stoppage. You've got to know that your an addict of nicotine.
You can quit forever by quitting one day at a time, this I promise you.
If you'll post roll as soon as your eyes are focused every a.m., be loyal to yourself in your promise to "not dip" today, you will see the days stack up so fast your head will spin.
Don't worry about the past....it is dead. Don't think about tomorrows quit, it isn't real or here yet. Just stay focused on TODAY, quit one TODAY at a time, do whatever you have to do to "NOT" put the POISON in your mouth. Get the tools, get into chat, get quit TODAY and I quit with YOU TODAY!!
'bang head' 'bang head'
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.
It's poison I tell ya, You wouldn't drink Liquid Drano, would ya?
