Dip fucking sucks. It is the greatest and worst thing ive ever been in contact with. Ive played sports most of my life. When I turned 13 and got to high school all the guys had a chew I tried it once and boy was I hooked. I loved it after every practice, ninja dips during class I couldn't get enough of it. Grizzley wintergreen was my weapon of choice and has probably been my closest companion since I can remember. I took it with me every where I went. school, practice, church you name it I had my can. For the past few years I have begun to wonder why I dip. Me teeth are now very yellow I always have white patches on my checks and dip in my teeth every time I look into the mirror. I just cant understand why I keep doing it.... Then I put my next dip in and remember why I cant give it up. Well I'm here to tell you today there wont be that next time. I am only on day 1 but have begun to enjoy telling people I don't dip. Friends, family, etc ive told everyone that knows me and of course there response is "ya right". Proving them wrong is only going to be icing on the cake. I will take help from whoever has time to provide it. I just want you to know that I am committed and ready to roll. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you #day1
Advice from someone still very close to the Suck ! - Day 19 here and Welcome to November

1st piece of advice is post roll everyday and make that promise to not only yourself but also your fellow quitters that you will not touch the Nic for the day.
2nd piece of advice is fucking mean it when you make the promise
3rd - reach out to your fellow quitters of Nov and seasoned Vets to grow your connection and passion to quit

Follow steps 1,2 and 3 each and every day wake up and repeat and you will tame the Nic bitch.

Now as to the Fog/haze and hell you are going through:

Drink a shit ton of Water like 2+ gallons a day for the next week.
Keep other items on hand - Altoids, Gum, Seeds, Hard Candy, Fake Chew if thats your thing, oh and Water!
Try to stay away from caffeine for a bit as it could cause you headaches
And last Alcohol can make us do dumb things stay away from it for a bit until you get through the major FOG.

So go post roll, send me your digits in a PM and lets tame the bitch together !

as a fellow November quitter proclaimed yesterday - ABQ - Always Be Quittin

Welcome Willie!

Your quit group is March 2017 topic/30081110/247/#new

Post your promise there and then do it again tomorrow. Your group is a hoot and will help you do this.
Welcome Willie. Great decision. Go ahead into March and post roll. If you get confused, just type in your name and numbers of days quit. someone will pick you up until you get used to it.
Welcome to the beginning of freedom.

Been dipping for almost 13 years. Ready to quit. How do I post roll?
Go to the welcome center and it will show you how to post. Read all you can on here. Listen and get numbers. Once you post we will start pouring out advice. That's the only admission required here is post roll. I quit with you today now let's go get this quit started!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

There are instructions for posting roll in the welcome center and within the quit group thread. Don't worry about it too much. The only way to screw up roll is by not being on roll. You'll figure it out after a few days. We all have.

Proud to quit with you.
