This is all you man, go out and OWN your quit!! It's all about the day...no more, no less. Don't look ahead and don't look back, OWN THE DAY and OWN YOUR QUIT!! You have to start rewiring your brain and helping it distinguish between truth and lies. Once you get your brain back working right it will get lots easier. Smokey mountain, pistachios, and blow pops helped me get rolling. Find what you need and get it! Grab this quit by the horns and refuse to ever make another appointment to see Dr Nic!! PM me for digits if you need them
The BEST day to quit was Yesterday, the second best day is TODAY!

Post roll every damn day! Reach out to those in your quit group and the veterans around here. I know it sounds strange, but get some phone numbers. Being able to make contact with someone when you're struggling can literally save your quit. The accountability piece is what makes the KTC system successful. It's in your hands and there for the taking! Proud to quit with you!

Welcome Rudy! Great choice. I only started 9 days ago without preparing. I just did it and then found this site and man has it helped. I'm not going to lie to you, it's gonna be hard, and it's going to be painful and disorienting. It still is after 9 days and I'm sure it will be for a while longer. You will have moments where you don't think you can do it, but you can. That shit is evil and it has taken over your brain. Just fight through it. Post roll, it does help. Reach out to people on here. Fight the triggers. Do whatever it takes but don't put in a dip. I don't plan to EVER AGAIN. But ever again can only be reached one day at a time. Commit to it, follow a routine and you will be victorious.

I'm sure I've got plenty of crappy days ahead, but I'm going to make it and you are too.
ODAAT! ODAAT! That's all we do!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Allright Rudy! Looks like you've already taken the plunge and hit roll call! Great job on making the best decision of your life. I noticed that your intro said "Preparing for Quit". Just making sure you're 100% nicotine free...No patches...no snus...No cat shit of any type! You follow those rules and post every damn day (EDD) and Wake Up, Piss, Post (WUPP), you will get through this. It wil not be easy, it will not be a bed of roses, but if you embrace this like your life depends on it, and believe me, it does, you will come out on top. Listen to me carefully...It is one day at a time.. Don't worry about tomorrow, it will come but you don't need to think about it today. Just make sure you give your daily promise on roll call and be a man of you word FOR ONE DAY and keep that promise. Let's do this! I'm PMing you my digits. Use those digits as a crutch. If you feel you are going to go insane and stuff your mouth with poison, you text me so I can give you 10 reasons why you are not going to do that (the biggest reason is that you made a promise to an entire group of us and you are a man of your word and won't break your promise). Time to get this quit kicked into High gear!

Preparing for Day 1
« on: November 28, 2016, 07:26:00 AM »
My name is Rudy. I began dipping while I was enlisted in the Army it started as a rare partake, but everyone here knows how that ends. Nowadays I easily go through a can a day, and it's taking over. I have to constantly have a dip in.
