Thanks all for the encouragement! Day 9, roll posted (although I messed it up, sorry about that, will do better tomorrow) and feeling good.
Symptoms I have felt during my quit are:
1) Headaches (not a ton of them, but get a good one every couple of days) – Been drinking a lot of water which seems to help.
2) Fog – This one I would not have expected if I did not read about it here. I know we have all experienced brain farts before (forget a person’s name, have something right on the tip of your tongue then it disappears, etc…), this fog things gives a whole new meaning to brain farts, whole concepts that I knew like the back of my hand are now hard to grasp at times! Good thing is it all comes back a few minutes later.
3) Cravings – This one seems to be a little weird for me, I read on here with people saying they had a huge craving on that day. For me it just seems to be one big craving that started on day one and has never ended. It is less intense on day 9 then it was on day 1, but it is still there. Best way I can explain it is it feels like my tongue is swollen, although it is not. I wonder if this has to do with the fact that from dawn to dusk I always had a dip in, whereas a lot of you seem to dip during certain activities (driving, mowing, fishing, etc…), but go for hours even during the day without dipping.
4) Irritability – My wife says she does not see it, but to be honest I am just hiding it. I find it amazing how my quitting tobacco is making everyone else so stupid! I thought I would be the only one affected.
Overall things are going well and the intensity of everything is going down. With that said, I am not going to get over confident, so today I quit.
