Ha that's funny not a few days after I say I'm doing a lot better i get laid off from my job. Nice, sick of this bullshit called life.
Well that just sucks.

Good thing is.....your quit will look awesome on your résumé!
never again, for any reason.

understood?
Got it!!!
Hey Ribz keep your head up! YOU are part of my quit. You have quit which I know how hard it was for you to do. Life has its ups and downs but use what you have learned through you quit to progress in other things in you life.
I second that! Keep your head in the game...you don't want to start this fight all over! The tools that we learn to use here in our quit can definitely be used in so many places in our lives! Let me know if you need someone to holler at...we'll throw some prayers your way too!

You got this!!
Ribz you know that saying "when life gives you lemons make lemon aid." We'll that a damn big lemon so it will make alot of lemon aid. Hold your head high because you are one of the strong ones that have stuck with quitting through all the rough days and have proven you are resilient!

Wow my group had 110 members to start and now we are down to 56 with a few of my brothers who are Mia for the past few days and could be sitting somewhere with a chew in right now. We who are left are truly some strong motherfuckers. Think about it, it has been said that nic is harder or as hard to quit as heroin and we just up and said fuck it one day and said I'm done!!! Proud to be a part of my quit group, this site , and soon to be hofer. Keep it up you fuckin bad asses don't be slaves ever again, don't let the nic bitch have your balls in her purse.

Ribz out!!!!
Hey Ribz,

that is the way of the quit groups, Oct12 had 95+ throughout the month post up at least a day, but we only had 35 ish hit that hall of fame day. and now have about 25 that still post regularly.

It happens. In chat I was always told of a 30-35% rate for the groups, so if you guys are 56 of 110, then keep it together and help push through for this last few days.

keep strong and stay focused and you definately my friend will be one to hit that 100 day mark and then .... well we will speak then..

Its all about what and how much you eat. I can run 20-30 miles a week and not drop a pound, if I pig out due to the increased hunger.

Make sure to avoid eating too late at night in front of the TV to fill in the time when you used to chew. That is a tough time for me. Still battling it but still staying quit.
There is a good saying that says "get fit in the gym, lose weight by staying out of the kitchen."

Lol love it!!!

I did forget to mention the fact that my creatine intake did go up a lot around the same time as my quit so some of that may be water but I wouldn't think it would be 25-30 lbs worth, plus I have to eat around 250-350 grams of protein per day.

Hey guys I had a question about the weight gain from quitting for the vets of the site... I have gained around 25-30 lbs like most did here but I was just wondering if it starts to go away after a while once your body stops freaking out from the quit....I do work out hard 4 days a week and this is the hardest time I have ever had trying to lose weight... Usually I can drop that ammount of weight through hard work in about a month. thanks brothas!!!

I wasn't exactly saying that no nic would turn my life around, I did however think more that it would maybe change my outlook...I read somewhere on this site about Someones depression getting better after they had quit nic but I can't remember who it was. I was kindof hoping it would be the same for me... But not as of yet... Maybe further into my quit.
I don't know if quitting will turn your life around, but I have found a little renewed self-confidence from making the decision to quit and then doing it. If you have the steel balls to face an addiction head on, you CAN change/improve any small aspect of your life. You quit is still young, give it some time.
Fish, eat, sleep. Repeat.
