this is the start of day 5, and the whole "Quitter's flu" feeling is still here. It came around day 2 or 3..How long does it last? it feels like there is an elephant on my chest.
I am starting week 3 today, and let me tell you that my week 2 was so much better than week 1... Remember how this first week feels b/c you never want to be back there again. Great job! Just keep quitting 1 day at a time. It will get better soon.
Mine lasted a few weeks. This too shall pass. It's your right of passage to freedom. Keep on moving, I promise this does get better.

You know what 5 days means? That's 5 days of freedom. For 5 days you haven't been spending YOUR money on something that does absolutely nothing for you. All the poison ever done for you is take. It takes no more from you my friend. Today I quit with you.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

start of day 4, still quit, still strong. That being said i feel like death ran me over twice. I guess the best way i can describe it is similar to a severe cold. Body aches, chills, sore throat, etc etc. cant sleep more than 30 minutes at a time. It may be allergies, it may be withdrawal. Either way, i know it won't last. Riding this out and looking forward to being able to run and work out some more.
It's called Normal, for where you are now...and it blows. It wont last forever. You're probably thinking "fuck you". I used to when people would tell me that.

Well its true. Just gotta keep on pushing. Bit by bit. Every +1 is a small victory. Eventually, those small ones add up.

You got this man. There's some beautiful ass shit waiting for you. Trust me!

Today is already better. Sucking on tea leaves isn't the most attractive thing in the world but it really helps. I'm not missing the real stuff at all at this point. I made a point to wear myself down... Went on a long RUN instead of my normal evening walk, I ran until i couldn't anymore. I haven't done that in years. It felt great. Day 2 is waning away, bring on 3!

Made it through Day 1. I can tell the nights are going to be the hardest part. I got kind of depressed thinking about not laying in bed with my usual dip till i was ready to go to bed. Maybe that's why i slept so long. I feel better today though.

The nights with your true love. It's something how we can fall in love with a weed, isn't it? A weed that has nothing in return for us. As we lie in bed with it, sit on our sofa with it, work with it, take it with us during our hobbies. All the while it does nothing good for us in return. It sucks the life out of us while stealing our money, freedom and integrity. I to laid with the poison, thinking it was so good. Thinking it loved me back. It's all a lie brother. It's a nasty, filthy, disgusting addiction. This is the drug you have in bed with you every night. It's time to start building a hate for it brother. I quit with you today.

It's turning into a marathon. This is the time that I usually dip the most. The tea is helping with the mouth feel but the fog is really starting to roll in. I'm starting to get snappy with people i talk to. I try my best not to think about it but its everywhere, I constantly reach for my back pocket for my tin. I'm fighting it, it is just more hell than i could have imagined. I don't know where i'd be if i didn't have all the kind and encouraging words here and elsewhere on this site to get through times like this. It's going to be a long night.

Welcome sir. Wise choice joining this site. Well done.

I too danced/dance with the ugly whore known as anxiety. It sucks. One of the things that perpetuates it is idle time or thoughts.

May I suggest you read every intro, hof speech, words of wisdom, quitter stories, etc on this site. It will not only keep your mind occupied but will help understand the quit process and maybe even inspire you and give you added hope.

Or hop in chat. Their are some crazy sob's in there that will not only keep you entertained and your mind busy, but will answer any questions you might have....about ANYTHING.

You have to keep moving with anxiety. Going for a walk was a good idea. Sitting around doing nothing, will drive you nuts.

I know you said you are between jobs and have no insurance but if things REALLY get bad you need to a doctor. They will work with you if you don't have insurance. Gotta love that about doctors...ass rape the insurance companies, but if you have no insurance, they will work with you.

Bottom line us your missing nothing by quitting this crap. Dip fills no voids in your life, it only creates them. You are giving up NOTHING by quitting. You are freeing yourself from one of the most disgusting addictions on the planet.

You are smart. You are going to quit this shit. Dumb people don't do that. They keep poisioning themselves and say shit like, "we all got to die of something" or "hey , I could get hit by a bus tomorrow". I used to say shit like that to justify my addiction. I could get hit by a bus tomorrow...how many people do you know that were killed by getting hit by a bus? Besides that, at an early age I learned to look both ways before I crossed the street.

Enough of the lies and addict rationalization. Its time to grow up. Time to take your freedom back, time to walk the earth the way God intended, and it wasnt dependent on a can of posion weeds jammed in your lip.

Its time to come home. The ride will be bumpy but we are here to help you navigate it. Come to us when times get tough, tell us when you've had a bad day, tell us when youve beaten a big crave, tell us when you've had a great day. Tell us anything.

We care and we want to see you succeed. Pm me anytime you need anything. I'm on call 24/7/365.

Peace
