Wellbutrin to get off nicotine? One chemical to get off another chemical, to me. Don't want to criticize here, I applaud your choice. But you don't need that shit.Â
I'm not criticizing doctors, but every problem looks like a nail if all you have is a hammer. If you're good and goddam serious about quitting dipping, you can. Just post roll and keep your word. (There's no co-pay for that there advice).
Go cold turkey and embrace the white-knuckled, no sleep, consitpated, sweats, anxiety-filled days and nights that follow...because THOSE are the good times. Those wonderful withdrawal symptoms remind you that you are living free of nicotine and you are earning your freedom!!!
The bad news is that nobody gets freedom for the asking. You have to earn it. But the good news is that you can. Click on the quit groups...not just your own, but a bunch of them. Click through the different years. Look at all of those names. There were ALL right where you are now. YOU GOT THIS!!!
As long as it isn't nicotine I say go for it.
Opinions are like assholes...everyone has one.
Today I am 596 days quit. Being quit was easy and then I began to crave again. It pissed me off!
This site teaches you the methodology on how to quit. I back that 100%. However, there is also recovery. Quitting, not to be dramatic...is a traumatic event.
Is it good for you to quit tobacco? Of course. Better to be quit at all costs. However, you have to recover. I may be quit 596 days but I ate too much, I drank and I tried to fill the void.
If your doctor tells you to take wellbutrin, do it. If you don't, you will self medicate with alcohol, porn or some other thing to destroy what you want to fix. Again, Tobacco causes cancer so quitting this garbage is first but realize you need to recover and seek ways to do better.
You are simply asking for help. Stay quit on tobacco here but keep searching for ways to cope and recover. Without the addiction or poison.
This shit is evil and recovery not only quitting is the work you want to do.
