When you open my PM, you will have my number. By accepting my number, you are agreeing that I will get a call from you asking permission to cave, (PRIOR TO DOING ANYTHING STUPID). And no, it doesn't count as permission if you can't get through. Permission is only available live.

Oh, and you have to get permission from everyone in your group as well.

Stay quit.

Peyton,
Check your inbox. I also strongly suggest you get some numbers from some of the quitters in your HOF class. You will need them as you go through your quit.

Peyton there is going to be HELL DAYS in this endeavor , but believe me it will get better the longer you kick her in the ass! The nic bitch aims to dominate you back in to her nest of addiction, with a lot of tricks up her sleeve. Adversities is one of the worst, but just remember that there is nothing worse than being addicted again to the shit that s hell to quit! NO ONE WANTS TO GO THRU HELL WEEK AGIN!!!Take it one day at a time and you will be fine! Nicofiend

I have had similar experience and can definitely relate to loot. BackOff just pissed me off because it wasn't what I was looking for...not what my addicted ass had to have at the time. Not only reason why I caved a couple years back - trust me, got lots of BS EXCUSES as to why my sorry ass didn't stay committed.

I'm only on day 5, but feel way better this time around. I didn't use any fake until yesterday (Day 4). I'm trying to only use it when I've got that crave or trigger that I need to push through. Today was a great test after lunch with a colleague. Of course he threw in a fat one before we jumped in the car....and so did I! Jake's Mint Chew of course

Sad but True, I'm an addict that will have to put on my suit of armor daily. For now, the fake will continue to be a small part of that suit.

In my opinion, put anything you want in your mouth so long as it is drug free/nicotine free. If you're like me and some others, you'll lose the desire for the fakie naturally over time.
PS. There is absoLOOTly nothing wrong with this philosophy. Just wrong for LOOT. You do what you have to do to stay nic free. In the end, yes, the other shit will fade away. Just an matter of how long you want to take to do it.

We report...you decide.

Never again, for any reason.

I should have some smokey mountain in the mailbox when I get home.  Tool ... why no fakie, just out of curiosity?
Oh, and that is Loot's opinion on the subject, and his opinion is usually a valuable one. That said, many people (myself included) thing fake is a valuable tool early on, and some even longer. It has no addictive drugs in it, making it a "habit" which is very different than and "addiction."

In my opinion, put anything you want in your mouth so long as it is drug free/nicotine free. If you're like me and some others, you'll lose the desire for the fakie naturally over time.

Those who don't feel that way feel that the fake is too close to the real thing and makes you think about/desire the real deal. If you feel that way, don't use the fakie, but it is really up to you and most believe it's fine either way.
TG is right. For LOOT, and LOOT only, if it looks like Copenhagen, tastes like Copenhagen, and it cost money like Copenhagen it is far too easy justify/rationalize Copenhagen. You'll run out and no store close to you will have. Then your demons will really fuck with you. Why put yourself in that position?

You will deal with the oral fixation at some point. Get it over with up front, ILO. Breaking the habit of having something in your lips 7 hours per day is harder to do than getting rid of the nic. IT took LOOT 90 days. 90 days and you've cut your expenses to a couple $2 bags of seed per week. You can find seed in any C-store in a pinch (pun intended).

This is simply one guys opinion. LOOT knows LOOT....LOOT could not have quit with fakie. YMMV.

Today is day 139. I rarely use fake anymore. You really do lose interest. I guess if you can do it without fake, that would be preferable, but I see no harm in doing it if it keeps the nic out of your gourd.

P.S. - Quite appropriate to ask this type of question here, but feel free to ask it in your quit group as well.
I used the fake stuff just as much as I used the real stuff.

I will say that if you can get by with seeds or gum you will be better off than the fake stuff.

I never agreed with these guys until I ran out of fake and had just as rough a time with cravings then as I did with the nicotine withdrawal. I would not use it if I had to do it all over.
