At this point, I am 114 days quit and life is much easier, There are some craves, but they are becoming more and more sporadic, shorter, and lessening in intensity.

Had to share some nice rants from about 110 days ago here, lest they get lost in the shuffle:

"Okay...
3:49 AM. I'm awake and have had about 3 hours of sleep in the past 40 hours.
I'm good. I got this. I'm going to go dip some tea leaves now because THE NIC BITCH IS A FESTERING, PUS-FILLED CARBUNCLE ON THE LEFT BUTT CHEEK OF A THREE LEGGED WOMBAT NAMED "FLASH"!!!!

*pant, pant*

Sorry about that, fellow quitters. Had a moment there. I'm good. I'm calm.

AFTER I HUNT EVERY CEO OF THE TOBACCO INDUSTRY DOWN, SHAVE THEIR PETS, AND PUT GORILLA GLUE IN THEIR PREPARATION H!!!!!!

*pant, pant*

Please disregard. I'm okay, really....I'm good.

No nicotine for me today. Scout's honor. "

And...

"One more thing:

Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy,
Was he?

I think at 59 hours in, I'm getting dain bramage.
Or something.... "

And...

"Arrrrrrrrrrr!!!!,
59 hours 15 minutes nic free. Woohoo! Here tiger, tiger, tiger!!!!
(gnawing on my kindle fire right now)
'Crazy'
This is the suckiest suck that ever sucked....

Shhhh....(whispering subliminal voice saying): "and this all can end with one sweet, nourishing, orgasmic dip"....

Well, NO, it won't! It ain't gonna happen. NO MORE POISON FOR ME, YE BOTANICAL WHORE OF BABYLON!!!!

Whoa! Hold on, fellow quitters...I see a possum in the dark outside my bedroom window that I can go chase around with a golf club. I'm a-gonna put on my loin cloth and get my pogo stick first, though....

I'll be back....

*Note: The preceding message is an abstract representation of this quitter's state of mental health while going through rancid nicotine deprivation. It is not meant to be taken literally and no animals were harmed in the creation of this bullshit post. "

Yeah...I say I've made some progress. AND SAVED ALMOST $1900!

Wow.
How validating this site is. The method is steadfast and effective. I am celebrating one month without dip today. Thus far, I've pocketed about $435 in savings and I'm looking at it online in another window.
Sometimes, I wonder if it's worth it because I feel like I want to chew so badly, but when I look back to my posts, I see how far I've come. While I still have moments that are uncomfortable and trying, I see that even a couple of weeks ago, I was nicotine psychotic.
Progress is progress. I know one day soon, I'll realize I've gone a few days without a crave.
I have friends starting to quit, stating "If you can quit, anyone can!" That's how big of an addict I am...and, thus far, victorious.

I love stream fishing for smallies. Especially in small, Crystal-clear creeks that provide solitude and serenity. Streams that are too small to even get a canoe through...
The spot I went to the other day I discovered many years ago when my normal spots were overrun by flooding in the spring. From the two lane HWY bridge, you'd never consider even trying to fish it: too small. Nothing to it. Just a trickle.
But....wade down through the thick for 70 yards and it gets deep. Waterfalls cascading through pink granite shut ins where the fish are voracious.
Damndest thing. Every time I go there, I swear it's the last time (especially alone) because I about kill myself every time due to the hidden stones and deep crevices I have to wade through....but the fishing is always insane and I don't know of any other soul in the world that knows it's there.

Okay...
Last two days have been rough. For those of you who don't know, I teach high school biology. Starting year 27.
We've been locked in those wretched faculty meetings for a week, which made me want to claw out my eyes, but they gave us yesterday off.
I opted to slip out into the Ozarks and wade fish for the elusive, yet magnificent, smallmouth bass.
Tough trigger! Always used to a big fatty whilst casting among the stones and eddies. The fishing was incredible, but I was feening hard. I passed through 2 rural towns on my drive that were about an hour apart and were only big enough to support.a Wal-Mart. Neither one had any Smokey Mountain chew. Bummer.
Today was the first day of classes. I'm running 182 kids through my biology classes daily again. I'm getting too old for this shit.
Anyway, I've been gnawing on tea bags and snapping at my wonderful spouse and son. Hell, I even think the golden retriever took an ass eating sometime tonight.
No CAVE, but a helluva lot of CRAVE as of late.
Some people avoid triggers, but I applaud the tactic of taking those triggers head on. Every crave you beat helps your brain learn to cope with the next one.

Glad the fishing was good! Smallie bite started a little later here this Summer, but on fire now!

Day 15 today was a good one. Did some project things around the home. I didn't Jones or even think about dip much at all. I did reach for the non-existent can in my pocket after 2 meals and got a little exasperated for about 5 seconds, but, in all, a great day.
Doing great man! Staying busy really helped me. Keep on racking those days up
You, too! Great job and being quit. Happy for everyone here discovering that this can be done!

It's more of a "CNN is fake news" meme than anything about Putin really.

But I found a good pic of Canis chasing Human.
Great pic! :)

I am guessing your title "Ursa nicotinus" and your name GrizzlySlave indicates which brand of crap you were addicted to?

As mine was Timber Wolf and just realizing it's an editable field I have made mine "Canis nicotinus" in your honor.
LOL, be my guest!
Well played, sir.

Now you need to search for a pic of a guy running from a Canis lupus; then again, that would blow your communist / Putin avatar.

So, this is what freedom feels like.

Yeah, I guess the guys who signed the Declaration and fought the Revolution, then went home to find their houses and farms had been looted and burned while they were away, they too had days of freedom which felt like this.

Keep on quitting, I'm quitting with you.
