Day 32!

This is the longest I have been without nic in at least 17 years. This ODAAT really works! I appreciate all the support from KTC.

Gdubya, Canvasback, dmonroe33, Francis, horseman, jaradm, zillah.....you have been a tremendous support system. Thank you.

Quit on!

Day 29.  Feeling much better these days.....
Great job!

I am day 52 and it is definitely getting better each day. I in no way think I have it licked, but it is encouraging and exciting to be free.

Day 2. The exhaustion is killing me more than the craving. Understandable ..I chewed for over thirty years. Guess I will take another nap now.. Thanks guys.
Good job. This quitting is tiring. Sleep is good for you and lots of water and exercise helps too. You are doing this man! Remember how crappy this feels cuz shortly you will be feeling better and the memories of the suck will help you never want to go through this again. I quit with you today.

Nice job posting roll. Now you are in! I was a cope fiend for years too, so i'm glad to see yet another warrior ready to kick that damned silver topped can into the gutter. Evil stuff! Learn as much as you can about the addiction, the poison, and how to win the KTC way. Build your network for accountability and support- with quit class mates, and vets of various times. You can do this!

I used sugarless gum a lot- so much my teeth got sore. If sugarless is what you are after, brother Pinched clued me in to some sugar free hard candies at Walgreens. Lots of people seem to like cinnamon flavor for their quit. I still use gum too though.
This info helped me early on, and still does today: https://whyquit.com/whyquit/linksaaddiction.html

Quitters I’ve met so far: Ihatecope, >Pinched<, T-Cell, grizzlyhasclaws, Canvasback, BaseballPlayer, Cbird65, ERDVM, BradleyGuy, Ted, Zeno, AppleJack, Bronc, Knockout, MookieBlaylock, Rdad, 2mch2lv4, MN_Ben, Natro, Lippizaner, Amquash, ChristopherJ, GDubya, SRohde  -- always eager to meet more!

Welcome Aggie. Those were my thoughts exactly when I stumbled onto this site a little over 100 days ago. I was planning on quitting on my own, made it to day 3, and I was so miserable at work that I had to find something to give me some motivation to keep after it. I found this site and it's been all the motivation I've needed.

Made HOF (100 days quit) last week and I owe it to the kool-aid that this site is giving away. Post roll, keep your promise to your brothers, all the users on this site, and most importantly YOURSELF for the day. Wake up and repeat. Pretty soon you'll be strutting thru the doors of the HOF with that nic bitch on a leash behind you.

PM if you need help with any of the details on how to post roll or if you need to reach out. You got this bro, one day at a time (ODAAT).

Today I choose to quit because today is the only day I have control over today. Tomorrow is a new day and when tomorrow is today, I'll control it too, but not until then. I will win this fight with today...

Welcome. Get into the Welcome Center and read up. Read about posting ROLL. You must commit to quitting daily  you do that by posting roll.

Note that you are not quitting a habit.... this is an addiction. 2 different animals. Right now you are an addicted slave to nicotine. But, you can break free of this mess!

Looking forward to your ROLL post today!

Hey, I am now on Day 3 with you. I found Smokey Mountain Fake Chew is a great tabacco free and nicotine free alternative. Keep up the good fight and PM me if you think you might.

Hey aggie, glad you found KTC. Well you certainly right, your not alone. Turnoff your tv at night and instead get familiar with all the areas of the site and read all you can. Read folks intro. Read HoF speeches. Go over to the general discussion area and read the questions posted and answers.
In doing so, you'll be gathering up tools to help you n your quit. Posting roll is the price of admission to KTC. Post first thing each day. Posting roll is giving your promise not only to your self but to the entire KTC community that you will not partake of nic for that day. Take it one day at a time. Don't worry about forever, just today.

« on: January 02, 2014, 10:12:00 PM »
After 15 years of cope, I've decided to kick the habit. Day 2 was about the same as day 1 for me.
Very Tough!!!! I'm keeping Trident gum with me nonstop.

I just found this website  am glad to hear I'm not alone. Looking forward to meeting others who know what I'm going through.
