I'm a Quitter, Are You?

Benjo

Oh yeah. It's going to be good to have you around, I can feel that conviction right through the interwebs.

I'm Ben, day 8, same quit month as you. I'm done too. Help me remember, and I'll help you remember.

Each cue driven crave episode presents an opportunity to extinguish additional conditioning and reclaim another aspect of life.

If you stop by my desk I'll show you how to post roll and not look special the first few times since you will most likely be starting off the roll every new day.

Stay quit!

Stick close to your friend. With him 53 days in, he can tell you from recent experience what to expect, and how to handle it.

Way to sack up and save your life. talk to your buddy and learn how to quit. drink the cool aid (not the kind thumble makes) and get in on the quit. great decision. now get ready for the ride of your life, and if you ever think you cant make it remember that we have been there and can help. reach out for help before you break. that's the secret

Does your buddy post roll?

Follow your buddy's lead and start posting roll immediately. Posting roll call is the cornerstone of KTC and it should be done as early as possible because it's not a status check it's a promise to your Quit Group that you will not touch nicotine all damn day. It's also a great idea to PM other folks and build an offline support network because there will be times when you can't log on to KTC or just need to vent frustrations...which, I'm sorry to say, will be plentiful. Quitting nicotine is one of the hardest things I have ever done and I've not had alcohol in 18 months. You can do this without fail though, just remember your quit brothers and sisters and realize that your quit is strengthening everyone else's. I'm proud to be quit with you.

So yesterday was the hard start and change. I walked into my buddies office, and he overheard me talking about quitting dipping.

He called me over to his desk, and showed me this website. Reached into his desk and pulled out 3 cans of Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff. Told me that he would be right there with me, and he hadn't dipped in 53 days.

It was an eye opener. So I made a determination and promise to myself to quit. After such a long time of saying "well I'm going to quit when...", I'm done. Today is the start, and I'm ready for all the withdrawls and challenges that come with it.

Damn, you brought Bean out of the attic. There are a few masters of quit here on your side bro. This is your chance, what will you do with it.

You didn't post roll today or Monday. What's the deal? That's the number one thing you do every day when you wake up.

The sleepless will pass. Melatonin can help. The fact that you haven't posted roll is a concern.
