I sitting at day 10 and it sees like the cravings are a hit and miss. Most of the time i'm dying for a dip, however there is another time although its short and you have to really focus i dont feel the need too. This is really hard to explain for me.

Yesterday I had my first long drive in the car, that whole ride I craved a dip. I know theres more to this life than looking for the next dip.

Proud of you Brother! Keep it up, My Day Yesterday and today were much the same. Yesterday was great, had a few seeds and that was it, not even a true craving. Today the Fog came back a little this morning on the way into work, I'm kinda growing on that feeling hahah. I had a few times I was craving, but the text from you and a few of the other Brothers helped a lot!

Keep on kicking Ass man!

There most definitely is more to life than than a dead plant in a can.  You are winning one little bit at a time.  Every second you tell the nic bitch NO, is a win.  Stay strong, reach out if you need to, there is no shame in asking for help.  Heck, I never asked for help, I just called someone to shoot the shit with while I was craving and after talking to them for a bit, the craving was gone.

You are doing great AW.  Stay with it, you will feel better soon.

Well yeah my introduction lol?

I had no idea that I was suppose to post one of these or it just slipped my mind honestly. As I sit here today I am five days quit and I am so proud of myself for reaching this milestone for myself.

My name is Aaron, I'm 23 year man from Eastern Ky way back in the great Appalachian Hills where dipping is a norm for most everyone I know.
To be honest i'd say the ration is 5;2 out of 5 people 2 of which will be dippers lol.

I have a beautiful wife and a son who is about to turn 2 on the 30th!! Big day for little man.I don't want him to know his daddy suffers to a habit!

My hobbies include Working out, and playing music! I mostly play country but i'm opinion minded on music I do not discriminate lol!

I know whats going through your mind right now. "this guy is too young to be addicted to dip." well bub I promise thats not the case.
I've been dipping since i was 13 years old and last week i was up to 2 cans a day. Thats $198.96 A MONTH!!!! I have been in the Army National Guard since I was 18 (5yrs).  In 2017 my unit was deployed overseas, where of course for us dippers our lips would turn raw simply because of the stress and worry of loved ones back home.
Funny story some of the bases I was on had a shortage of dip most of the time so me being the addict I was I made my wife mail me 13 rolls of dip at a time.... Thats embarrassing now looking back at it.

Waking up putting a dip in.
Driving I had a dip in.
In the shower I would dip.
Working out I had a dip in.
At my job I had a dip in.
Directly after a meal I had a dip.
Before I went to bed I had a dip.

(This was the guy I was before.)

After I discovered KTC and the amazing people that come with it i'll never go back. I want to say how appreciative i am for the support I've received thus far.

AW, nice to meet ya man.  I started dipping when I was like 14 or 15 so I started pretty young just like you.  Glad you found ktc.  This place is incredible.  Other than waking up and posting roll every damn day, take the time to stroll through ktc, there's a lot to offer.  Educate yourself on addiction and the changes you will see as you progress in your quit.  Find some support and build a nice web of accountability with vets and new quitters in May or other groups.  Own your quit.

Congrats on making it through your first weekend.  Right now your head is probably foggy as hell.  Concentration will be difficult for another 7 days or so.  Your sleep will probably suck soon if not already and the mind games will begin soon.  Just stay the course, enjoy the ride and remember what this all feels like.  We all came out on the other side for the better.  Anyways, proud to quit with you today!

Mike

Half-assed effort only gives half-assed results

Cravings are like March madness...survive and advance-Bgbdbrd

There are two types of quitters on KTC. Those who post every damn day no matter what. They could survive a plane crash 50 miles from Nome Alaska and would kill a polar bear with a pocket knife, write their days quit on ice with its blood, snap a pic with their cell phone and text it to Drome. Then there are those who always have an excuse not to post or to post late. -bicycleptic

I sincerely doubt that anyone on this site would ever tell you that, helll I would wager that 99% of us were addicted as hell by 23. Having said that.. we weren’t smart enough to quit then, so kudos my friend. Thank you for your service and proud to be Quit with you.

Great job, Aaron and so glad to see you are posting roll in May!  And first may I say THANK YOU for your service!

Just take things one day at a time, lean on your brothers and sisters here, keep your promise every day and you will ultimately rid yourself of nicotine's grip.  Drink the KTC Koolaid because everything we do here really works. Try to learn as much about this addiction as you can - it definitely helped me in my quit, the more I saw this as the addiction that it was.

Proud to be quit with you today.
