Thanks for advice.  I ate like shit over the weekend and drank too much soda as I was going through the withdrawals.  The withdrawals were hell.  my shitty diet and lack of water contributed to this diarrhea problem.  I'm chugging water today and going to eat some thing healthy for lunch.

I feel 10 times better, especially compared to saturday and sunday (which was the worst).  today I feel strong and alert with more energy than i've had in a long time.  I do have the cravings, but I am on a mission to keep quitting.  It feels good.  Best I've felt in a long time despite this chronic case of liquid shits that feels like I drank a gallon of sewer water.  Even with this massive case of clear diarrhea I'm happy and feel strong.

Great support from everyone on here.  I can't express my thanks enough for the people who reached out.  I owe it to do the same for others as they quit.  I didn't even know this site existed until last Thursday, and I'm on google all day every day.  never thought to simply google "how do I quit dipping"., bam up pops killthecan, total life saver.  I quit nicotine today, and I plan on doing it again tomorrow.
I plan on quitting again tomorrow!!! Gotta watch how I say shit.
Glad you sent that e-mail Claws. A halloween quitter. I dig that.

Can't really relate to the splatter ass situation. In fact quite opposite. I couldnt take a good dump for at least 2-3 weeks after quitting. It seemed physiological, like I couldnt squeeze one out without a dip. WTF. Anyway when I finally got "regular" again I started to shit wicker baskets. I suppose it was the 1 1/2 pounds of sunflower seeds/day I was putting away. By the way, take a page out of my play book, spit the shells out, they are not fit for consumption. But I did make a killing selling wicker baskets.

Feel better and keep up the quit man. It is so worth it. I hope you enjoy the book. Let me know what you think.

Ryan

Thank you everyone for the support, it has been terrific and I see why it is important to post roll and pay it forward. I definitely do.

Anyway, I hate to bring this up, but I am having an absolutely horrific bout of diarrhea. It is unbelievable. Any advice?
usually it's constipation that hits. get plenty of fluids (that should go without saying when you've got the scoots.)

My advise would be don't push! Surefire way to get hemorrhoids. Drink a ton of water and ride it out brother. Your doing great, it gets a little easier everyday thanks to the tools and people on this board. Quit with you today

Grizz,
I see you posting role. Day 3 huh. The misery is at its sweetest now. Remeber this feeling as terrible as it is. Remember tommorow, how hard today is, because you never have to do it again. We are quitting once and are doing it balls out style, so i fucking hope it hurts as bad as mine did. I quit with you.

Hi, I've been dipping on and off since 1990.  Quit twice for a few months, but didn't last.  Last time I tried to quit was January 2009, it lasted 2 months and then I was back on board with the can.

Averaging a Can a day since late 1990 I'd say.  That means I've spent over 24K on dip.  Damn I'm dumb.  That's the first time I've ever estimated the cost.  Anyway, I know it's going to kill me if I don't stop.

So I spit my dip out and registered for this site.  I have a can and half left, one in my office desk drawer and one in my car.  Should I chuck them in the trash or give them to someone who dips?

I'm about 1 hour in as of right now and I feel like I need another one, I'll resist and post again tomorrow.  I will quit.
Dump your cans out now, don't throw them or give them away.

Quitting is really simple.

Read everything on here, post roll call each morning and don't dip. Wow....that sounds so easy, doesn't it?

If you read through the other intro's you may see some of my same words on them but they always hold true so I will just repeat them...

You are in for one nasty fight but you have the tools here to make it.

Go load yourself up with gum, mints, fake chew, seeds and beef jerky. Also get some member phone numbers right now, they will help you through the rough parts.

Next, exercise to exhaustion every single day and drink so much water that you feel like you may bust. Both of these will help.

Make sure your wife reads about what you are going through. 99% chance that you are going to be a short fussed dick for the next 3-4 weeks. Try not to take it out on her and the kids. Get on here and take it out on us, we will be fine.

I quit with you.
Thank you. I will dump them. I'll report back tomorrow.
I texted my wife and told her I quit today. If anyone sends me their phone # I'll call if I need support. Filling my water cup at work right now. Will walk with the kids tonight for Halloween.

At least my quit date will be easy to remember!
Nice Job Griz. Now read everything in the "Welcome Center." (Pink button up and to your left) Pay special attention to how/why we post roll. It is the foundation of our quits.
You will report to the February PRE HOF group. THat means you will reach 100 days quit in Feb.
For now, figure out how to post roll, and get it done.
Read everything on here. It got me through many of the worst times.
Welcome.
Welcome grizzlyhasclaws to the Best of YOUR life!
Your (attempted quits) stoppages did nothing for you as you did not have the tools/weapons or knowledge of the enemy!
You're not here by accident.
I am 525 days quit on my first and last quit! I put the poison in my mouth every waking hour for 30 years. Real stupid and really just committing slow suicide. Yes, it will kill you. It killed my mom and all of her family. It is a real poison, regardless who says different.
We quit every a.m. by:
Posting roll (our promise to ourselves and others that we will not use TODAY, just today.)
Keep our word...your word is good, right?
Wake and repeat!
Before you know it, your quit daze will stack up bigger than Dolly Partons hooters!
If my sorry dumbass can do this, then I know that YOU can TOO...
ODAAT = one day at a time.
NAFAR = never again for any reason!
You're in the right place, gather you weapons, phone numbers, read everyday in here. Get your anger out in chat, instead of the family.
Welcome...make this YOUR quit!
I'll quit with YOU today.
Cheers.
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.

Hey griz, welcome to KTC and congrats on your decision to quit. Paradigm gave you some great advice to get started. As far as reading everything on this site, make sure you read all the Welcome Center stuff here
index.php?showforum=13
This explains how and why we 'post roll' on this site every single day.

Feel free to ask any questions or anything else you need help with.

I quit today with you also!

Rick

EDIT: You will be part of the February 2014 group. Once you read about posting roll, you'll post with that group.
