Thanks for the prayers guys. I have known I have brain cancer for about a year now. The docs discontinued treatment 4 months ago because it isn't responding. They found a blood clot attached to it yesterday. Not a whole lot that can be done. Please continue praying. It has been a long road, and the end is in sight. Note a good end, but I believe in His power.

You guys are awesome, and your support on my quit journey is keeping me sane. Thanks and I am sorry for being late on posting lately, just hard to get out of bed and get to the computer. I will figure out how to post from my phone, I swear. Thanks Dave1903, for posting for me. And for checking on me.

Tomorrow is day 40!! I still have cravings, but I am quit!

AND YOU ARE TELLING US YOU ARE FUCKING GOING TO TRY? FUCK TRYING. EITHER DO SO, OR CONTINUE BEING A BITCH AND DISCOVER THIS FATE!

No roll post either.
Well, it looks like we wasted our time on Dexter. No further posts and no response to our pm's. He seemed to have good intentions...but his good intentions and $6 probably just bought him another can of shit to stick in his all knowing, all insightful 22 year old mouth. Nice work Dex, you had lots of support and just walked away.

Why is it that the success rate of addicts younger than 25 is so friggin dismal? Never mind, Dex already answered that question.

8:37 CST and only one post... must have found enough coinage in the couch to run out and buy some poison.

About the gas thing to get to to a place to exercise... how about you walk or run there?? Sounds like a good warm up and then a good cool down. I will never understand the people that drive to the gym to run on a treadmill... anyway it sounds like you would like to quit but apparently you dont know anything about it. Read the Welcome Center- dont be lazy about this go balls deep or go back to Russian Roulette with a can.
Haha well I live in the middle of nowhere, so that's a 30 minute drive, and, in my condition, a 3 day run lol. To the rest of you, I thank you for your time. I'm having these recurring dreams of my teeth falling apart and gums turning to mush, so I know deep down it concerns every part of me. This vibe that says, quit or have your ass kicked, makes me feel like I can do this shit and KEEP it that way. The time and effort everyone puts here for the well being of others and their future helps. I know it sounds like failure when writing it, and odds are against me..but I'm welcomed here, And I hate being like everyone else, and I also despise being a slave to anything. I'll let you folks know if I ever come close to failing. Onto day four..thanks again!
Odds are NOT against you Dex, if I could do it so can you. Just keep doing it one day at a time.
Sm is right on. If you want to play the odds there is casinos. Post roll and keep you're word. That's a guarantee for success.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

This post wreaks of failure before it even gets started. You have so much shit stacked against you from the get go. One you are young not much of a yardstick to compare anything too. Guys your age come and go. Sorry to be a wet blanket on your quit parade but I only know of one that has quit and stayed quit. What are you going to do when the pain and agony comes check the couch for spare change to race down and get a can?  I got to leave this thread I could go on forever with it.

If you really wanna quit I will work with you but you have to put as much into it as I do. I have several people here who can help too problem is youngens take so so much work.

PM me if you are ready
Agree ^^^^^100%! Prove me wrong Dexter. Until you decide to put as much effort, time and money into quitting as you do (did) into dipping you WILL fail!

Until you post roll and spend time reading what others can tell you about quitting one day at a time (ODAAT) your success will be limited at best. Sure man there is always the option of waiting like I did for another 33 years to get serious. When or if your serious pm me I'm always available.
I agree with what most of these bad ass quitters are telling you. They know their shit and they will do anything to help you quit. They sure as hell helped me and they still do. I am young at 28, I quit in September of last year at 27 years young so it can be done. I never would have made it without the help and support I received here at KTC. You have to buy into how we do things here in order to be successful but you have all the opportunity in the world here and if you are serious about quitting you will have all the help and support you could ever want. Pm me if you need anything at all.

Hey Dexter. Welcome to KTC and for making the best decision of your young life. The first thing you need to do is open the salmon colored tab at the top of your screen and read all the information you can in the Welcome Center. Next, you need to post roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the March, 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. The reason you are put in March is that will be the month that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date. If you are out of town, your phone explodes and there are no pc's to log into the site from, text your daily promise to a brother and that person will post for you. Easy. So there is no excuse for not posting roll. That is the first step in accountability.

Fake dip (also kind of expensive), Jolly Rancher hard candy, atomic fireballs, sunflower seeds and beef jerkey are all good substitutes when you are craving. Get plenty of exercise, drink water until you think you will drown, and power through each day...one day at a time. You will have lots of support on here so pm me with any questions I can help you with. Also, get in live chat...plenty of folks that are more than willing to lend a hand and give you some advice along your journey. Welcome again. Wayne

You came here for help to quit the most addicting drug that means that you have no excuses and want to quit for your self. Here is what you need to do is to go to the april group sign up and promise not to use nicotene in any form and show up again tomorrow and do it again. Get some phone numbers and call on these people to help you out when you are having a craving or in a bad mood or what ever, these will become your brothers. Three days into my final quit.
« on: December 19, 2013, 02:27:00 PM »
Hey, I'm 22 and three days into my quit. It's been four years but I'd like to quit while I'm ahead for the most part. I'm very energetic but that can lead to having shorter patience with people. I tried dip as a social thing, and it now I'd a cope from stupid people and enjoying social situations more...Unfortunately, dip has taken all my energy and, yes made me calm, but also boring and always tired. I have tried to quit before, done decently until the excruciating stomach pains kicked in. .then I'd put a small dip in to cure the pain, and I'd slowly go back to a can a day user. I am unemployed so I not only stopped for my own good, but I can't afford it either. So what are some tricks to deal with the physical pains and irritability? Or how about getting that oral fixation without spending much money? I'd go to the gym more but that's so much gas. Working out is my remedy for everything, but now I can't go as much and am quitting dip, a recipe for disaster I say. I desperately want this to be my final quit, and also to feel at home here, because I'm not alone here. Thanks everyone for your time, it means a lot to me.
