Hello everyone,

Thanks for just existing.  I briefly tried to quit last year and made it one day, then two weeks.  I've dipped for 10-11 years.  Non-stop.  About a can either every day, or every other day.  I don't know what to expect here, I guess I might just be looking for a place to rant and rave to people who understand.

As I said, thanks for just existing.  This website has been instrumental in helping me to understand the seemingly tidal-like forces that make me both want to scream and punch a kitten (I did not) during random, uncontrolled bouts of fury/anxiousness I felt for the first ten days.  This may continue, as this is only my day 10.  However, it's been easier knowing why I actually feel this way and knowing people are out there who have quit, and are now actively encouraging all others in their attempts.  I can't thank you guys enough for being here.
Ranger 10 days is a great start! You still have some rough days ahead I challenge you to jump in and drink the koolaid of quit with the rest of us. If you've been reading a lot online you must know there are several things about our way of quitting that makes it successful. First posting roll, and accountability a daily promise to quit. We only quit today, that daily promise is a very serious. The brotherhood works, if you get active you will meet people that may very well be lifelong friends (I know I have). This brotherhood and accountability have helped me through the past 164 days!
Post roll in December and lets get to know each other. Pm me if I can help w/ anything.
second what wt57 said- awesome on the 10- just keep it going one day at a time.

Well done RangerDanger. Well done. 10 days is badfuckingass. 242 days ago I joined on day 11. Fought through all the early fog by myself, and THEN, found this awesome site. Wish I would have found it earlier.

You need to know some things:

1. Quitting is the easiest hard thing you'll ever do. Or, the hardest easiest thing. Some can do it alone (4-7%), but with support (KTC 30-40%) your chances improve almost 10X.

2. Read the vulva pink "WELCOME CENTER" in the top left corner if you have not already. Pay close attention to "Why we post roll".

3. Dont be afraid of the "internet forum thingy" like I was. If you are truly ready to forever be done with nicotine....then get your ass in here and post roll. We promise daily to not use nicotine by posting roll. Your month is here
