Welcome.
Everything they said, plus - understand this is an addiction. You are addicted to nicotine every bit as much as a heroin junkie is addicted to heroin. Once your hemorrhoids are cleared up, your addict brain will try to convince you that it's time to get back to the tobacco. Your addict brain will fuck with you.
That's where the daily promise we make by posting roll is so important. You promise yourself, your quit group, and every single member of this community that you will not use nicotine in any form for the rest of the day, then you make the same promise tomorrow. Be a man of your word, and keep your promise. Quit for one day, every 24 hours. That's how we do it. It's not easy, but it is simple.
Find your Feb. '17 quit group. Post roll, and do the same thing tomorrow. There are instructions within your quit group thread, and also in the Welcome area. It will seem confusing at first, but don't worry. The only way to screw up roll is by not being on it.
Being accountable to a group of internet strangers seems weird. But, after a while your Feb. quit brothers and sisters will be like a second family.
Post up your promise, keep your word, refuse to cave, reach out when you need help. That's how it's done, and it works.
