I am 41 hours post dip. 1 hour past my previous longest quitting attempt!
I am in this, one day at a time. I will not dip for 13 more hours. Will worry about tomorrow when it gets here.
Just keep repeating the same steps that have made you successful these last 40 hours.
Quitting is like a high wire act. You've got to walk on this skinny little rope. When you first started 40 hours ago, you were 4 inches off the ground. Now you're 10 feet off the ground and shit will hurt if you fall.
We'll help you balance, but it's up to you to ask for help. Make some friends. It really helps the time pass, and makes it easier to ask for help. I've met some cool ass people here that have saved my ass many times. Just yesterday, I talked to a brother for an hour and it lifted a great weight from my shoulders. Words can't express the power of this site.
Think of all the things that led you back to the can those previous attempts, and don't do that. As humans, we learn from our mistakes. Repeating them is just stupid.
Get through today. You can do it. I'm very proud of you.
