Maybe someone will listen and just be quit, I just got done looking through some drama in January 2018 from a quitter that caused so much drama in my group April 2012, January 2018 was his third attempt, I don't know how his quit is but that's the stage where people look for excuses to cave, to leave KTC, to have no accountability.

I chewed for 30 years, my grandmother smoke and died from lung cancer when I was 3 or 4, my father died after a house fire at the age of 68 from what they determined was careless smoking. The house wasn't totally destroyed so we rebuilt it and my brother lived there until Monday.

Monday started off good, you see I don't visit my brother often even though we are just a couple miles apart because both he and his girlfriend smoked inside the house and I couldn't stand being there, it wasn't any type of trigger I just thought it was disgusting. The good part, I took my brother to lunch, we went to a local dinner ate and I brought him back home, he told his girlfriend that it was his best day in forever!!!

You see my brother had a disease called polycystic kidney disease and was on dialysis which is known to be rough on a persons heart, but instead of living a healthier lifestyle my brother became more and more addicted to smoking, especially after he was unable to work. His circulation was getting worse, he was down to 3 toes on each foot and missing a few fingers (I made jokes about him being lack toes intolerant, I'm such a bad human).

He made it 6 years on dialysis, longer than expected, we had a great lunch and he was content with life at that very moment, that night at 8:30 his girlfriend called me and said something was wrong so I run over and he's breathing but unresponsive, I'm trying to wake him and having her call 911 when he stops breathing, I put him down on the floor and look for a pulse and there isn't one, I start chest compressions and with the first one I feel a rib crack!! A person should never have to do CPR on a loved one!

This story is not for sympathy, it's for you the newer quitters, stay the fuck quit, don't look for excuses to leave, take care of you self so that a family member doesn't have to perform CPR on you. My brother was 58, his health was part of why I quit but I couldn't get him to. Many bad choices lead to his death, smoking certainly didn't help.
