Fortitude doesn't come in a bottle or a pack. I believe that with all my heart. I personally know several people that have taken Chantix. Every one of them failed with it. Fortitude comes from you when your mindset changes. We have to slam the door on that chapter of life. We are addicts, all of us. Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances known to man. It cannot be conquered on a whim.
You have already found your triggers. Now either adapt your activities or remove these triggers. The two you mentioned were big for me too. Alcohol is probably the number one killer of quit. I quit drinking completely for about 3 months when I first quit. Completely. Why? Because I made conquering my nicotine addiction the single most important thing in my life. It is a matter of life and death, after all.
As far as after meals: I kept sunflower seeds close by. The after-lunch craves are mostly oral fixation. Just had to keep busy. Some of the guys here are big fans of the fake dip made by Smokey Mtn, etc. You may want to look into
those options. I wanted to get away from being tied to a can, so I never went that route. But if it keeps you quit, I'm all for it.
The main thing is giving us your word that you'll stay quit today and then honor that promise. Glad to have you hear. PM me if you need anything.
