Now back to the important stuff :)

1) Maria Kirilenko
2) Karen Gillan
3). Ivanka Trump (I know I might get some flack for this one, but I'd hit it in a millisecond)
4) Lacey Chabert
"If you want to quit then stop talking and just QUIT. If you want to kill yourself a bullet is cheaper and faster than a tin, plus it eliminates my hearing you whine and cry like a bitch."

Best thing I have read on KTC...Submitted by tgafish on 7/3/14

Former Skoal Straight and Cope Longcut user that started at the age of 12. QUIT on 7/15/13

OK so I have been up for 3 hours this morning.
Had a crave for MT Dew.
Thought it might be a fair test to got to the Mobil station pick up a dew and come home safe no chew.
Made sure I called Roll first.
Walked up to the counter and Alie promptly grabs a roll of Kodiak and sets it in front of me.
First off I don't remember that happening before secondly my body went nutso felt like a buck must feel this time of year.
She asked me if I was ok and I realized I was trembling.
I old yes that I was fine and explained that I was getting my quit on.
She congratulated me and promised not to offer it to me again and to remind me that I quit if I asked for it again. (WAY COOL of her)
Whew passed a big test there.
Now I am home by mind seems to thing it should have nicotine now.
I keep reaching for my can in my pocket.
Doesn't help I threw it out last night when I decided to stop with the tea dips.
Today will be rough but I will keep my quit on. I have to. I have now told people other than you guys here that I have quit.
This is an excellent post. You get how this works.

Pat yourself on the back bud. Another day where you win and the bear loses. The wins get a lot easier man... Hang in there one day at a time

Thank you all
Called roll now for a quick question.
I think tonight will be a big test, first night of bowling since quit, tomorrow being family get together will be a bit of a test.
Xmas will be the biggest test though and this is where the nicotine freeness question arises.
My mother is a CHAIN SMOKER I have to visit over Xmas and just being in the house will be like smoking myself.
I always feel like I smoked a pack after I leave and takes a week to clear my sinuses.
The real question is will this affect my quit taking in the second hand nicotine?
Control what you can control and let the rest go.

Don't worry about Christmas right now bud. Worry about right now. I promise 30 days from now you'll be in a better place. For now, quit for today.

Kodiak can suck it man. Have you added up how much $$ you gave to the bear? If not, do it. 45k here. After tax $$ too. You don't need it to bowl, to work, to live, nothing. It does nothing but take.

Secondhand smoke isn't a cave btw. You should avoid it because it is nasty and unhealthy, but it isn't a cave. Quit with you today sir. Thanks for your service to our country.
X2 what WT said. Control what you can, and don't worry about down the road. Just focus on today. Starting to think weeks or months out becomes scary. The thought of, " I can NEVER have another dip." sounds almost unmanageable. It's not, but it's got to be a one day at a time kind of focus.

When those craves and old trigger situations come up, just remember that you don't do that shit anymore. Popping in a pinch is no longer an option for "relief". Find anything else to do besides that. And swap some digits with some quitters here. Shoot them an occasional text and maybe not only when times are tough. You'll be surprised at the level of accountability that in and of itself will be for you.
You know, I didn't really answer the question you asked.

I have read that second hand smoke has itsy bitsy teeeeeeny tiny minute amounts of nicotine in it. I dunno. Secondhand smoke is gross. I'm sure you won't stand over her and try to suck that nastiness in any more than you are forced to... so... here is an analogy. I love analogies...

Lets say that you are on a no salt diet. And lets say that Miley Cyrus insists on having a torrid evening in your big king size bed. The two of you go at it like two fucking monkeys at the zoo (if you haven't seen crazy monkey sex at the zoo, brutha, you are missing out.) In the midst of the passion filled evening, Miley's sweat is flying like crazy and some flies in your mouth as you are screaming God knows what. Does the salt in the love filled sweat mean that you broke the diet plan? I'm gonna say no. It is kind of sick and twisted to think of your mom's secondhand smoke to be like Miley's love sweat, but I'm a sick kind of guy.

Now I gotta go take a cold, cold shower.

-w2w
Miley? Ugh. I could think of at least 173 better options for said analogy.
I agree Brad. There have not been many intros that I have posted to, but I want to see this one all the way through. Now that Miley has been introduced to this thread I can't help but feel it has been tainted. Wtw please clean up your act as you've left a wrecking ball sized stain that will need work.

Congrats Birdman on over a week!
Take 2 penicillin and it should all be ok.
Awesome ... So ... Given my and Avian's age we are going to come up with the 173 options better than Miley .... you have some work to do wtw

1) Maria Kirilenko
I think I'm about the same age as you guys. I really do need to clean up my act! Looking forward to this list.

Keep up the great work dude. You'll never have to relive the first week again!

Headaches, constipation, anxiety, depression, wow all new shit. The best way I can explain this ,is the nic bitch throws everything she has at you to convince you to take her back! Or you can look at it probably the correct way ,your brain is rewiring from all those years of poison and its gonna take a while.if your not in the fog you probably will be. That shit sucks! You're doing great and I'm damn proud of you! Quit on!

Good grief the headache that showed up this morning felt like a poker stuffed in my sinuses.
I noticed on day threeish that my nose seemed to be running but it is that time of year too.
Today it wouldn't run till I took some Tylenol sinus meds.
Seemed to break it all up.
Also noticed anxiety seems to be building.

Day 7 almost done...still quit.
You've got this Avian, 7 days is bad ass! I know that when I was a week in I had all sorts of things going on - fog, headaches, a numb mouth, shaky hands, cold sweats out of nowhere - these things will all pass with time.

In a few weeks you will read this thread again and realize how much better things can be. B)B

One thing I thought bowling might be an issue but the real trick was the anger generated by the traffic on the way there.
