Nice day 4 crs, you took control of your life today. Regarding living in Kentucky, there was a guy about 250 days ago that wrote a fantastic story called "My old Kentucky Home". I tried to link it here but for some reason it doesn't work. If I remember right, his family was like 3 generations of tobacco farmers, it was in his blood. His memories were all on tobacco farms, you get the point. Search that title every day until it comes up, I recall it being a fantastic read something you could relate to especially if you live there. Me? I'm out in California, nothing like that out here. Just lettuce and strawberries.

I'll be looking for your post tomorrow, but for today you can claim victory! I bet you never thought you could do 4 days dip free? Answer: You can't. But you can do one day dip free, 4 times in a row. Amen to that.

day 4 im still quit i live in kentucky you see peopel from 6 years old to 60 diping all around you this is kentucky that what they do here.  i can say im going to kick this bitch in the teeth and not use today..  dennyx im here bud no nic 2day
Wow, I can't imagine a place that is tobacco friendly. It must be that much more difficult to quit when it is in your face.

Where I live, we have closet dippers but it is not a friendly place for tobacco. I think Utah's most famous tobacco dipper is Jim McMahon. That guy always has a dip in.

His teeth look like shit too. I loved him as a quarter back but now that he is retired and older, it looks pretty senseless when he is on TV with a fat lip and shitty teeth.
I don't know, it is just a sad state of affairs when you can't spit that shit out for an interview.

If that is what you see in Kentucky, look a little further than the surface and thrill of a buzz. Look at the slavery, bad teeth and no matter what the persons IQ is, someone with a dip in their lip looks like they are 10 points lower in IQ.

You get to be an agent of change in Kentucky! You are beginning a revolution against big tobacco terrorists. No more will they take your money, teeth and freedom. (Ultimately your life) You won't have to gut the spit when someone wont let you go and keeps talking to you. (Man now that I am 41 days, it is laughable the things and hoops I would jump through to get a shitty fucking dip)

The pain of chewing...there is no reward. You chose freedom and now are not subject to that vice. You are clean and free. Embrace the suck and post roll tomorrow...if tomorrow comes.

One day at a time. You quitting with it so acceptable has made me stronger in my quit. Thanks for sharing.

Either thankfully or not you only go through withdrawal only once.  You stuffed poison into your body for years. Think your body dug that part of your day? Fuck no.

Fight for it. Know that you are worth it.

PS. I would also advise intercourse. Can't stuff your pie hole with cancer candy if you're with your lady. Burn some calories. Spend some time together. Pass out and get a good night of sleep.

I advocate as much banging as possible early in your quit :)
I echo Souli's advice...just know about the potential side effects of banging as much as you can early in your quit. I'm holding my side effect, he's four weeks old tomorrow. I love my little side effect.
Dang Denny....brother you got a whole bunch of days quit...you could have slowed down a little man.

Congrats bro. Pretty damn good side effect to have.
'clap' 'clap' 'clap'

That's a cool side effect! I got the snip snip. So I shoot blanks but I still screw. I only do it for the sport of it now.
I forgot that there was anything but for the sport of it. Daughter is 31
Thanks....and back to quitting! crs, looking for you on roll today.

Hello Crs. Im 30 years old, been chewing cope for 14 years, and the last 7 years were 2 cans a day. I am quit thanks to this site and posting roll every day. I have been quit 13 days now. days 4 through 8 are the worst with the with drawls. but it gets better . I still have cravings but by posting roll every morning and giving my word that I will not cave keeps me going nic free. Nothings worth the possibility of loosing your Jaw or even worse your life. I can think of a million things better to spend the money on. If you want to be addicted to something.. Try pussy. works for me.

Yea it feels like shit and looking back on the past 3 weeks I love how bad it sucked!! I don't want to ever repeat it. You are joining an awesome group of fricking addicts, we all know what each other are going through. Get lots of contacts so if you near a "pinch" you've got someone to call on for support! Pm me I'd be glad to trade #'s. read, read, read see what others have experienced, post daily and early, keep you promise(stay quit for 1 day), repeat. It's that simple.
Stay strong

Hey crs I love the title of your intro. I can relate, in fact we ALL can. We are all new to this, learning how to live life without cope, and sharing tricks and secrets along the way. First thig every day, post roll. That's your sacred promise to your brothers that you will not use today. Then keep busy, stay close here, get phone numbers. Like you, I had resigned to the fact that I'd probably die with a dip in my mouth. Like you, I was scared at day 3. Just today, promise not to use. Tomorrow, repeat. I'm proud to be quit with you today.

Denny

PS it gets a lot better, a lot quicker than you can imagine right now. Focus on today but know you improve every passing minute. FREEDOM!

I will put my number in your inbox. I am on day 3 in July 2012. Unfortunately this is not my first quit. You will probably feel like shit for awhile but I promise it will get better.. and it is so worth how good you will feel in about two weeks. Let me know if I can help at all.
