No roll post as of yet.

So, that said, what have you learned from staring at your tongueless cousin? Did he just have bad luck? Are you immune to the knife or his current status?

Click on the Welcome Center and pay close attention to the HOW and WHY we post roll. Then, head over to July 2014 and get your name on Roll. Everyday. No exceptions. Make yourself accountable.

Hello, I am on day SIX!! It has been tough! BUT no more excuses as to why I should have that one dip and start again tomorrow. No more lying to myself or my family.
When I started dipping about 30 years ago as a young teenager I thought it was cool. Well, it is time to grow up. Time to face the possibility or should I say probability that if I continue it will kill me.
As I am typing this, my cousin is in ICU, sedated and on a ventilator. We are both the same age and started dipping about the same time. He's in ICU from complications from surgery over a week ago. The surgery was because of oral cancer, he lost half his tongue and the lymph nodes in his neck.
Again, it is time to face reality. It's time to stop being selfish. It's not fair to my family that I make the decision every day to play Russian roulette with my life.
I know that it will not be easy. I quit once before for about two years but made the mistake of just having that one dip. All it took was that single dip to get me back to where I was six days ago!

I am done. No more.
Welcome. If your cousin sitting in an ICU doesn't motivate you, I don't know what will. That scares the shit out of me. I've been quit for 31 days now and still freak out every time I think about the "probabilities". It's not a question of if, but when.

Stay strong and read up. Lots of people on this site have been thru some shit. You're not alone.
Your quit Decision MUST be 100% about you. Anything short of that sets you up for failure by allowing your addict brain to blame a given situation as reason for you to go back to the can. Quitting out of fear, based on a medical issue, will fade as soon as the doctor or dentist gives you a clean bill of health.

Make it yours then own it.
You're not alone here. We've all had failed quit attempts before we found KILLTHECAN. Now that you've found KTC you've removed failure as an option as long as you follow the program. Those who fail simply do not grasp the protocol nor understand the importance of honor and brotherhood. Live and breath your quit as it is the most important thing in your life right now. Follow the path that KTC has laid before you. Reach out for brotherhood. We are all here together kicking nicotine's ass every single fucking day. Join is daily with your honor and integrity to ensure your success. I am truly sorry to hear about your cousin. Join us, for yourself, so you don't wind up like him.
That's motivation right there. Sorry to hear that.

Quit on!
Welcome.
we are addicts of the poison...for life.
you took a 2 year break...now its time for you to get very selfish about your quit.
we do this ODAAT.
post roll
keep your word all day
wake and repeat
Get in here and learn about the poison. It really is poison.
Do or Do Not...There is no try.
1 problem + nicotine = 2 problems
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.
It's poison I tell ya, You wouldn't drink Liquid Drano, would ya?

Kmann,
Glad you are here. Post roll in the July quit group. Go to the Welcome Center and learn how to do it. It is vitally important that you perform this simple task at the start of every day. It's the price of admission to this club, and is the solemn promise to yourself and to the rest of us that you will stay quit for that day. Wake up the next day and do it all over again. I quit with you today.
ZC.
