Yes - I am strong enough. I quit today. No nicotine today - for any reason!
And so begins the journey Jeremy. You make that statement and stick to it. Stick on the website and read. Learn about the quit groups and prepare for the suck. Many quitters will be here to support you. Adopt a killer attitude against nicotine and fight like hell.

Jeremy,

Buy in to what KTC stands for which is doing whatever is required so that you will quit and stay quit.

Make friends. Go to Chat.

We all whined like babies that first week...first month...but we got your back.

I am day 132...seems like just yesterday I had the balls to quit.

You've just completed step one, although technically you need to Post Roll with your quit group (you are in September 14). HOW TO POST ROLL FOR JEREMY

Step two is to keep the simple promise. Keep in mind that there is no valid excuse for using nicotine. Hit the panic button when and if you start rationalizing in your head why it's okay to have just one. Those bullshit thoughts are, without a shred of a doubt, going to be in your head. YOU get to decide how to react. You either win, or you lose. There is no gray area.

I suggest you read intros, start talking to people in your group that are going through the same crap as you, and find some Pissed Off and make it your battle cry.

By the way, people that Post Roll every damn morning have an incredibly high success rate.

Hello all. My name is Jeremy and this is harder to do than I thought - not the quitting part but confessing some of my biggest weaknesses to people I barely know.

Like most - I've wanted to quit for some time now, but have been unable to stay away. I have had plenty of reasons to stop but am too weak to follow through. I wanted to quit when I got married, on several New Year's Days, on my birthday, when my children were born, on my first fathers day and so on. BUT - I have been too weak.

I have had enough. Last night was my last dip. I am so frustrated with this shit. I want to be around for my children.

I have been dipping for years....I can't tell you how long - over 10 probably closer to 15. Today I am at the point of becoming sick thinking about it, become fearful that I have permanently done something wrong and scared it will effect my family.

I don't know what is in store for me regarding "Kill the Can" but I'm ready to go and live the rest of my life!
"Whether you think you can or you think you can't - you're right." - Henry Ford

"But I am too weak..." Answer ONE question for me: are you strong enough to not have any nicotine, for any reason, TODAY? I'm not asking about tomorrow, the week, this year, and certainly not forever.

Reply to this message and answer the question. If the answer is "yes, I'm strong enough," then simply make the promise on this board. "I quit today. No nic today for any reason."
