Dude wake up and read what people are telling you to do! This site is about posting roll, which is a promise to quit for one day to the rest of us. That is the bedrock of this site. Learn to do that then you can get back to writing your thoughts here. But until then you're not at the right place.
Look dude you stuffed poison in your mouth for 19 years and you think ok I'm quit, and that's it. Man you better get yourself a reality check! I'm at day 185 and still crave damn near everyday. So what! I'm free and I'm man enough to kick the bitch to the curb, are you? There's no miraculous cures for addicts but so far this is the only thing that's ever worked for me so therefore I listen ,read post and stay involved because I'm beating this shit one day at a time! You really want this then you better get balls deep in it or you will be fingering the bitch again!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

I thought a couple days ago that I had this whipped. But yesterday and today Smokey Mountain was all that saved my quit. I kinda feel guilty about using herbal snuff cuz it really doesn't feel like quitting. But I guess atleast it isnt tobacco. Seems like every thing I do is a trigger. I'm ready to be to the point that I can go all day without thinking about getting a dip of snuff
I say use the herbal chew, gum, seeds or what ever it takes to keep from putting any type of nicotine in your body, keep reading, you'll find many who ise the herbal chew. As far as not thinking about it all day, I've been quit 40 days, some days it seems like it's getting easier, other days it feels like day one all over again, but stay strong, post roll everyday, read when ever you get the chance and reach out to others in the group, YOU CAN DO THIS!
Im only on Day-2, mind you, of quitting this dumb habit for good. Prior to that, I had a period where i was at the 90day mark, feeling great until i had one shitty day and decided "f*** it, im going to get a can, I can handle just 1 without relapsing." That obviously didnt work... 2 years later I'm here on Day-2.

Anyways, the point of my story is during that time I used Smokey Mountain wintergreen to help and i truly believe it did with some of the hardest times during my quit. I'd stuff a huge 'country lip' (my whole lower lip) when the cravings were bad, and it kept me sane. I wondered if i'd be stuck on the herbal stuff, but over time it, it did nothing and my body eventually got tired of it until one day, i just didnt want it anymore. I'd say it took about a 1.5 months until i stopped with the Smokey Mountain. It might have been shorter, but when i first started using it I bought almost a whole case so i would never be stuck without the option. I plan on using it again because i believe you will eventually just get tired of it. Maybe other people can chime in, but thats my experience.

Wow 31, 2 kids and a really good cancer scare! Get off your selfish ass and post roll! Your kids deserve a father and your wife needs a husband! Join us we will help you anyway we can to beat this. Hell I used 38 years and by golly I'm 181 days free thanks to all my brothers and sisters! We're waiting next moves your's! So, how bad you want this? I quit with you today!
I agree with all of you it would be stupid for me to keep dipping. Day 7 went pretty good (besides a new mouth sore that has came up lol.) Do we only post roll in the mornings or?
I've wondered the same thing about posting roll. I'm only 2 days in but I feel like posting first thing in the morning is like owning the rest of your day. That's what I'm trying and then posting on other threads throughout the day to keep me honest. Quitting with ya bro
Welcome aboard, guys! Great decision. But yes, post roll as early as you can. The general consensus is: Wake up, piss, post roll. You want the people you're quitting with to know they have your word for as long as possible each day!
The next couple weeks are gonna suck. You will have good moments mixed in also. You are in a fight for your life, and the reward of posting roll and honoring your word to stay quit for one day at a time is FREEDOM. It gets better and down right good a lot faster then you may think. At first you may have to live hour by hour in order to stay quit, but eventually your gonna gain pride in your quit and that will carry you through a lot. This is truly the greatest choice you have ever made. Read all you can, KTC has a lot of wisdom to find in these halls. Quit with you today!
Post roll in your group as soon as you wake up. Then keep posting in other groups throughout the day if it makes you feel better.

You're lucky. That will probably come back as Cancer next time if you continue to use tobacco. Stay quit. Stay with us. Post roll. Get your name on roll call immediately. Do it brother.

I'm sure you guys have all heard this story a hundred times but I'm gonna tell it anyway. I started dipping around 12 years old, im 31 now, never really wanted to quit but a couple years ago I noticed a lump on my gums. I kept telling myself it was nothing until about a month or so ago it was hurting so bad I had to face it. So I switched to smoking long enough for my gums to heal up a little and went to the dentist. They scheduled a surgery and the days leading up to it I was a nervous wreck, promising God and myself if this isnt cancer I'm quitting for good. So they cut it out and I quit the smokes too. Get the results back and good news its nothing. Well about 5 days later my weak ass was right back to buying snuff.... I probably dipped 5 cans and my mouth was right back to hurting like hell. BUT last week I just woke up one morning and thought what a bitch, what kind of selfish dumbass is willing to keep putting that shit in his mouth with 2 kids and a wife depending on me? Piss on it I'm done, I'm at 6 days right now and I think I may stand a chance this time. Any way thats my story and I'd like to be able to talk to some guys who have been through it so I joined up.
Welcome to KTC. This place is a FAMILY serious about kicking nicotine out of our lives one day at a time. (ODATT) Read up and learn how to post roll with Oct 15. You can't quit for a health scare. I did that too many times. You just have to be "fucking done" I did this after 26 years of slavery. You can too. If you really want to be free. You have no idea how awesome it is to be free from the Nic Bitch' s slimy clutches!
