A couple of pieces of advice I would give, on top of the great advice you've already been given:
1. You don't have a "habit", and using dip is not one such "habit". Picking your nose in public is a habit. Using nicotine is an addiction, one you could have walked away from more easily if it were just a habit. That simple change in words make this much more important that you quit.
2. Always be on roll first thing in the morning. It takes nicotine off he table immediately for the rest of the day. You are a man of your word, so far as I can tell, and your word will remain unsullied if you keep it everyday.
3. Get to know your brothers. This place is not boot camp, but you will develop friendships here that will become so vital to who you are. Reach out, and if you need digits, mine are a PM away.
