As far as what to do during an activity that you usually chewed....remember the fact that you posted roll that morning. That you promised your quit group that you wouldn't put any trash into your mouth. They are going through the same feelings and cravings that you are.

hay man if you reed my intro you will find out i went over to the mr bulkys and stocked up on them atomic fire balls man. hard candy. nice burn. and just like dippin i coodnt taste my wifes cookin 'crackup' naw man that part bout my wifes cookin was a joke. my dentist dint like it much. so i got a new dentist. sereus man. i went thru atween 10 and 20 a day.

Welcome man, Lean heavy on this site. Go to August, post roll and start getting to know your brothers in there, they may save you life one day. POST roll every day and promise just for that day to quit. If you don't like seeds or gum, man try candy or food. If you put on weight oh well, you can address that later. Ok Turfie you are the last newbie on the list today

So here it is ..... this is going to suck ass for awhile. So strap in. I have tried all the herbal stuff and Hooch and Smokey mountain are the best. Now as for other suggestions
1. drinks plenty of water
2. exercise ( get a good sweat on)

These help with weight and detox

3. Hobby - find something to keep yourself busy
4. Support- use the site yes but find someone or many someones that you can talk to
5. Diary - I keep an online journal of sorts here. It is nice to just put down your random musing

Now most important part of the program... the key....
POST ROLL
QUIT FOR TODAY
REPEAT

That is it ....simply as fuck......... and the most difficult thing you will ever do in your life but YOU CAN DO IT

Josh welcome aboard! What a great choice for your health. This quit has got to be mainly for YOU. I don't know how many times I've tried for others or other reasons they never worked. I can feel the difference this time. The oral fixation for me was maybe even more difficult than the addiction its self. I hate gum and seeds. I have been using the fake stuff: started with mint snuff then tried several smokey mt dips. finally settled on smokey mt. wintergreen. after 40 days I'm getting tired of it and have backed off but will keep it around for those rough triggers that make my craving rage. One thing I have found the cravings are becomeing shorter and less frequent. Prepare yourself for the 1st week it sucks. Read everything you can on site, be active, Post early EVERYDAY!!!!! No excusses. ( unless you are dead)

You are in August quit group go to the welcome center and read how to post roll.
NOW GET YOUR ASS OVER THERE AND POST remember NO excusses.

Welcome to KTC Josh! I am on day 3 of my quit after roughly 20 years of 1 can/day of copenhagen. Here is what I have been doing so far and it has been working rather pleasantly. I had my wife go buy a shit ton of the different flavors of extra "dessert delights" gum. I think i keep 5-6 packs with me at work. I also went and bought some smokey mountain herbal snuff that has really helped with the oral fixation. To me the wintergreen almost tastes real, however, keep in mind that I chewed cope so if you chew Kodiac or Skoal Wintergreen you might feel differently. After reading through the website and looking at the different alternatives I have also ordered Hooch herbal snuff. This is supposed to be really damn close to the real thing.
So, (after a long winded paragraph) this is what I do

When I get a craving, I put in the gum. I chew the gum for as long as possible (usually until the flavor is gone and then some more). After that, if I am still craving a chew, I put in the herbal snuff until I want to take it out.

I haven't had any massive cravings so far, my problem was the oral fixation also. I had to have something in my lip and candy was not doing it for me. I don't use seeds much because they tear the hell out of my mouth. Anyways bro, this is what has worked for me so far but I am sure that many more guys will give you some other great pointers. If you need anything or any help, just PM me bro! We are all here to help each other.
