Hey guys my name is josh and I have been dipping for the last 12 years now and been about a can a day for the last 8 years. I started when I was 16 and was playing varsity sports for my High School. I thought it would be "cool" to be like the big leagers chewing and playing baseball. But recently my wife went thru a scare with breast cancer and I do not ever want her to feel the way i did during that whole processs. Starting today I am puting my health and family first. 1 question I have is that like most users i have a oral fixation. other then gum and seeds what have other people used to calm the cravings? Also when doing something you always chewed during what are you thinking about while doing these activies? For me its when i am at work and spraying fairways on my golf course. Thanks for any helpful advice, I am glad i found this website and am going to be leaning on this site heavy for tips and help when i am having bad days.
Welcome man, Lean heavy on this site. Go to August, post roll and start getting to know your brothers in there, they may save you life one day. POST roll every day and promise just for that day to quit. If you don't like seeds or gum, man try candy or food. If you put on weight oh well, you can address that later. So here it is ..... this is going to suck ass for awhile. So strap in. I have tried all the herbal stuff and Hooch and Smokey mountain are the best. Now as for other suggestions
1. drinks plenty of water
2. exercise ( get a good sweat on)
These help with weight and detox
3. Hobby - find something to keep yourself busy
4. Support- use the site yes but find someone or many someones that you can talk to
5. Diary - I keep an online journal of sorts here. It is nice to just put down your random musing
