Was really glad to log back on tonight and see that you posted roll. You're drinking the Kool-aid now,Â…get a straw and keep drinking. Glad to be quitting with you.

Tyler,
Go here..index.php?showtopic=50 to learn how to post roll.
You'll be in the June 2014 Quit Group. Posting roll is a cornerstone of KTC. It is your vow not to use any nicotine in any form today. We do this one day at a time, you can, too.
Congrats on one of the smartest decisions of your life!

Tyler,
You have a lot of maturity for your age. I only wish that I had had that when I was 20 but now all I have is regret for 30 years spent on a worthless, senseless, nasty habit of smokeless tobacco. Your Quit is going to be hard but it sounds like you have the mental ability to kick this habit to the curb.
It is particulary difficult with all the family, friends, and triggers that you will have to deal with daily. My advice for you is to own your Quit and be the example to show all those people that you have the internal fortitude to stand on your own. It will be very difficult because their only defense is to laugh at you and question your motives for quitting. What you don't realize is that they will privately envy your decision and ability to beat the addiction. Stand your ground and be the example of a true Quit!
Quit today all day long!!!

Tyler,
Scour your car/truck and where you work/live for your 'emergency stash'. Take that crap and flush it. Do it now. Post roll and welcome to KTC!

Nice intro Tyler, its good to have you here. That being said, there an no excuses when it comes to becoming a quitter. As dippers we had a lie for just about everything, we were willing to say and do whatever we had to so we could pack our lips a little fuller for a little longer. Eventually we grow tired of the lies, the health problems, the financial burden dip creates and we decide to move on from dip.

And that is where most people lose it. They expect quitting to be a few bad days before they happily return to the way they were. Quittinf WILL be one of the toughest damn things you do. Its a mental, physical and emotional roller coaster that stops for no one. But after every single day thatbyou stay quit you can look yourself in the eyes and be proud. Because quitting ODAAT (one day at a time) is the only way to make this happen.

I'm 21 man, 51 days into my quit. Has it been hard? Yeah. But my entire life is changed now and I'm not turning back to that nasty habit. I'm a competitor and once I decide I'm done, I'm done
Quit date: 1/6/2014

Do you remember nicotine? Do you truly remember her? The way she controlled you financially, emotionally and physically? The lies she whispered in your ear daily? Remember how one dip was too many and one thousand was never enough? Yeah, so do I. That's why I'm here. That's why I post roll. That's why I support my brothers and sisters. Because I remember her too damn well.

My name is Tyler. I'm 20 years old and I've been dipping since I was 16. I got started playing high school baseball, all of my buddies did it. It didn't help that my dad has been in pro baseball for 30 years, so you can imagine the influence that had on my decision to start. The reason I'm posting this is because I'm tired of trying to quit over and over again without any support from my friends. They don't take me seriously, because they all do it. I'm scared. I know what this has done to me, and what it has the potential to do to all of us addicts. I want to set an example for my friends and for my father, as well as my uncle. I need y'all's help, because I know that these withdrawal symptoms are going to suck. I dumped the rest of my can down the toilet tonight, and chalked down my quit date as 2/25/14.

Great intro Aggie. There are a couple of things you said that show maturity in your decision to quit. The fact that you are willing to ask for help and recognize that you're scared/afraid is pretty hardcore from the get go. You also realize you're an addict. Many of us took years to get to that realization. So you've come to the right place my friend.

A few words of advice. Figure out how to post roll with the June quit group. This will be the bread and butter of your quit. A daily promise to stay nicotine free for the day. From this point forward, you aren't only accountable to yourself anymore (be afraid of letting your quit brothers downÂ…so don't cave Â…see how it works). Also, make sure that you are doing this for yourself above all things. It's not about your friends, your father, or your uncle. It's about you. Do this for you.

Dumping the can down the toilet was a great start. I'd like you to get your name on that June roll call today and for you to promise yourself, me, and all of KTC that you will not use nicotine today. I, in return, will make the same promise to you and be there should you need anything. Send me a PM if you need a number.

Get ready to embrace the suck of quitting the next 3 days, it's going to blow donkey balls, but it will be so worth it. Trust me.
Steak said it man. Great way to start a quit. It's gonna be hard the first few days, but use your noggin, read, post roll, and win.

Quick intro into what you can expect and how to do this. You can read the sticky at the top of the intro section as well. I hope to see your name in June '14's roll call soon.
what a great decision you are making. You will not regret it.

Read everything on this site. Everything. Get involved. Reach out to others. Most importantly post roll and make a promise to quit.

PM if you need anything
