Today, I am able to say that my wife has joined the site. I am hopeful she will post an intro, but I want to speak to this from my point of view only for a moment...

This site has such an incredible ability to affect the lives of of not only its members, but those who live with them, as well as other family members. This is a wonderful thing.

We all have the opportunity to change the lives of people we know, people we meet, people who may not want to hear about it...all by simply saying "kill the can". So simple, yet so powerful.

382 days right now...heading to floor 4 soon. Getting someone I love so very much to post a Day 3 is so more important than that.

Quit on.

Wow...so long since I've come back and updated this thread. Today, at 357 days, I am looking at my first dip-free Christmas, the first time I didn't need to avoid the camera because I was afraid people would see my dip in, the first time I could say to my son that part of my gift to him is my quit. I am looking at a full year of quit in the next week and a day.

I need to come back here often to look back on my own progress, and to continue to support the new guys and gals.

From one quitter to another, I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a quit-filled new year.

~Frazz
Score one for the home team...Proud to still be with you Frazz!
Thank you...from a newb to a vet... for sticking around and supporting us! Obviously helping us protects your quit, which is #1 priority. And, if I could speak for all newbs, it's guys like you that show us what we need to do. The more folks hanging around after HOF, the more folks that will see what is necessary to remain quit and that this is just not a line of crap. Today, I'm 36days. I have over 330days to go to beat my record from the "quit" I tried on my own. I suspect there's others like me. You're showing us that there is no cure for addiction, only a promise not to use each day.
Scary to think I'm a vet, but I guess it is true these days. It happened one day at a time, a healthy measure of quit each day. Thank you for your kind words, and I hope you will pay it forward to someone who is just starting out. That's how this works.

This is how we succeed...by doing it right and doing it together. Quit on.
Quit on, indeed.

Proud to be here with you Frazz.

Just thought I would give an update now that I'm on Day 46 with no nic and Day 2 with no Smokey Mountain.

Fuck this sucks again. Having used the fake stuff since Day 2 seemed to really help, and now I understand why. It was like a security blanket that fooled my mind into thinking it was getting something, anything from that little pinch between my cheeck and gum.

Now, without even that, I am back to major craves, almost as if I were on Day 3 again.

I plan to stay off the fake stuff for now, but if I have to, I will go back - better that than caving to the real stuff. I just wish my mind and body could get on the same page with this quit.

But I am quit, and I posted roll today...and I will post roll tomorrow.

Stay strong guys. We can do this, you and me, together.

Just hit 196 when I got back from a visit to my uncle. Wrapped in foil, basted, and sitting for an hour before I tear it up.

I cannot wait...maybe I should post some pics.
