Day 2/3ish

Still feeling good. Maybe I was made for quitting? Still a little foggy, but no big thing.... beats cancer.
Keep your guard up because you never know when the bad craves will hit you. congrats on deciding to quit but don't take it easy yet the first three days didn't suck that bad for me it was when I hit the two week mark that it really hit me.
Just make sure you have a plan and follow the plan.

Enjoy the good days...
I agree with bigduke, it wasn't the first few days for me, it was the 2-3 week mark. That was the real bitch. I was a real asshole and craved pretty hard during that time.

Don't get over excited that things are going better than expected. Keep your wits about you. You never know when the bitch is gunna sneak up on you. And when she does, and she will, it won't be pretty.
Its hitting me hard tonight... ill be in the chat if you feel like getting raged on.

Like I said. The good days come and go. If you are having a good one enjoy it. You will find more balance as you get deeper into your quit. Eventually all the days will be good ones, but you have some bills to pay first.

Good job using the tools of the site. Keep fighting..... it is worth it.
Ditto for me. The first three days weren't so bad. I had a battle around 2 weeks in and another one around 60 days. You never know when it'll hit, but it will eventually. Be ready for it!! I've quit before for 8 months and then lost it. That was before I found this site and will not happen again!! It helps to keep busy. Get neck-deep in some other favorite activity (call that girlfriend over?) to keep your mind off the shit. My opinions on what will make it work:
1. Read all you can on this site: stories, HOFs...everything.
2. Post roll regularly so folks will know when you need help and pester the shit out of you if you're late. We'll be looking for you.
3. Get some numbers to call/text in the tough times.
4. Always be ready for that sneak attack.
5. Realize that YOU are in a battle, even when you're having easy times.
6. Decide that YOU are going to win that battle - we'll help each other.

This might sound silly, and maybe not valid since its coming from THE addict.

But this seems like an easy quit. I have "the fog" but thats really it. I find difficulty concentrating, but other than that... its better than I expected. 24 hours down B)
Enjoy the easy days... get some rest and read. There will be good and bad mixed together. Stay focused on your goal, staying NIC free.

Welp, I havent purchased the gum yet. I'm guessing I didn't have all the facts, the way I look at it now it seems like a terrible idea.

Its been about 24 hours, im sitting in class this morning... and it sucks. I told my girlfriend last night that I have a dipping problem, and that was an adventure.
but now you no longer have a dipping problem because you are quit.
Alex, mike is right, you don't have a problem. You know why else you will not touch that crap? I am in the area and I will come kick your ass on a hourly basis if I have to. There is absolutley no reason whatsoever to use that crap again.

Sending you my number, you will do this.
and the better bonus, at least from the GF perspective. Quittin makes your tool grow! So she should be on board now
I think i've reached maximum capacity in that area. They dont make pants big enough for this package.

Just made it through my first class, I have to say it hasn't been half as bad as I thought it was going to be. I stopped in a gas station to get some gum (not nicorrette, stride) and fill up. Managed to do so without spending my $5 on two tins of grizz mint. After all, I quit that shit... I want my teeth, and my pee pee not to shrink.

I'm finding it difficult to pay attention.. and reading is difficult. Hands are clammy, and I feel warm all the time. Other than that, its been an easy ride.
that is complete bullshit. Max capacity is not 5". There is at least another 1/2" you can get.

Drink a ton of water and do your best to concentrate. It may be tough for the first week but it will get better every day.

I quit the griz 12 days ago. If you want this then you have to do it. My 2 problems with your post. 1) We don't "hopefully" finish our last tin. Your only fucking option here is to quit! 2) you aren't addicted to dip, you are addicted to nicotine! Why would you quit dip only to buy the gum? Just quit man!
Said like a BAMF quitter!! Well done!!
