Day 91

To the Guests,

If you are thinking about quitting and stumbled onto this site, good for you.
Your urge to quit dip has led you on an internet search that has led you to a place where you can earn your life back.

You are probably asking yourself some important questions about now.

Am I ready?
Can I do this?

It's a scary task to quit something you have done for a long time.  Scarier though, to consider the possibilities should you wander away from this site, and continue down that path of addiction.  The big C word come to mind?

You are never truly ready to do anything in your life, whether it be a first kiss, a first job, first career, marriage, kids.  Nobody is really prepared for everything.  All those things took a leap of faith and a commitment.

That's all you need to do here.  Take that leap of faith, make a commitment to your family here and never look back.  What you have done in the past to stop chewing hasn't worked.  You can't do it on your own.

I hope that you will join us in our quits.

It has saved my life, it can save yours.

One Day At A Time!

-Jeff

Day 83

Woke up this morning feeling like shit.

I wonder why?  Could it be that I was dipping all fucking night?

Chewed an entire can last night!!

in my dream, it was a dream

But it felt real.  Every bone in my body hurts this morning, all because of the nightmare.  That's it.  It wasn't a dream, it was a nighmare.

The fog, oh the fog, how I loathe you.

Here's to happier Friday's in the future, because I am going to flush this one!

Jeff

Man, I had a nightmare like this a few weeks ago and it was not a good feeling to wake up to. Keep up the good work, @JeffH4257! You are killing it!

Thanks brother!  As are you!

Funny side note, when I woke up this morning, I had drool all over the effing place.

Day 75

Just gonna leave this here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlHI1FjAhqM

Thanks @BrianG for recommending E.T.
Hey bud, just saw this! I guess it just dawned on me that finding motivation was the purpose of my HoF post. It doesn't matter what that motivation is, get up and use it every day to survive your quit!

Proud of you and all you bring to this site and the Freebirds!! Keep it up!
@Aggies94 You are correct Kyle!!  Find your why.  I am sure the why will be fluid, ever changing.  But whatever keeps us quit is what matters.

Congrats again on you HOF! You're a bad ass!

Thanks for the kinds words.

Proud To Be Quit With You!

Long live the FreeBirds!  'oh yeah'

60 + 1 days. (this is more for me than anyone :)) )

61 days taking it ODAAT.  61 days to take inventory of myself.  61 days of beating myself up.  61 days of mental gymnastics.  61 days of taking deep breaths. 61 days to remember what brought me here in the first place.  61 days to reflect on a lifestyle of ninja dipping.  61 days of reading damn near everything on KTC.  61 Days of kicking my own ass for not being a stronger man.  61 Days of apologizing to my wife.  61 days of forgiving myself.  61 days of being thankful.

61 days is just a beginning.

61 days isn't a special number...but it is +1 more than 60.  I like to think that in 61 days I have made some bonds with some people here that are unbreakable.  #AllMYFebruaryFreeBirdsForever  @MNxEngineer @FISHFLORIDA (I see your numbers on my text, and I smile. and I think to myself...Fuck yeah!  I want to have those numbers!  Thankful for those numbers.)

They say, that it takes 10,000 hours of intensive practice to achieve mastery.  I am 1,464 hours into my quit, and have a lifetime to go...but if I take it ODAAT, I can achieve anything I put my mind to.

As the lurch of the 70's creeps in (oh I can feel it, started around day 53 for me), I continually have a conversation with myself that
A)  the craving is fleeting
B)  I have a Bad Ass Accountability Group
C)  There is no way I will even consider buying another can!

Here's to all the +1's today!  PTBQWYT  ODAAT QWTBOF

Thanks for reading.

-Jeff

As 2020 winds down...I see many "lurkers" around KTC.

No better time to quit than NOW!  You will never regret your decision to quit.  Why not today?  A new YEAR.  A new YOU.  A new NORM.

Day 47 for me today.  Take it one day at a time.  It's doable.  It's an amazing feeling taking your freedom back!

You control what you put into your body, why continue poisoning yourself?

KILL THE CAN before the can kills you!

I quit with all of KTC today!

Happy New Years Eve KTC peeps and especially the February FreeBirds.

Cheers!  'shots'

-Jeff
