Anyone else used their quit to leap off into an even more healthy life?

I'm waiting till my HOF day before I take any more major health leaps, but I'm curious what you guys did, how long you waited, why you did it.
dont wait on anything in life do it now! yes addict speak is a thing, but so is procrastination. i was already getting into weight training but with my quit i doubled down. Days after my quit day i signed up for a spartan endurance race for June.  started rewiring my brain and bought philosophy books. spring boarded into podcasts and motivational speeches every morning of my quit that i still do at day 112. you got this man . just remember time waits for no man! GET IT i support you and know anybody can break past those mental barriers ! Also in the pursuit in distracts your mind from nicotine because you are reinventing yourself so its a win win.

Whelp, got my first hot flash. It started in my arm pits and went to my chest, thought I was going to have a heart attack.
Currently at 25% of my old nicotine load.

Haven’t joined the actual quitting forums since I’m not nicotine free yet. Full quit date is coming on up.

I appreciate all the support here. I’m stressed to the max, anxiety, & good ol brain fog

Thanks for the talk on the web site as well

1st bit of advice, that you'll find from everyone here....quit.   25% of whatever you were at, isn't quit.  I'm not a doctor, but i think your fucking with your body MORE by changing dose drastically, but still giving it some nicotine.

Perspective: i was a chewer for 30+ years.  Over a tin A DAY.  NEVER spit.  NEVER.  Odds are pretty good my 100% dose was more than your 100% dose...and a can guarantee you I'd still be chewing if i tried anything besides just fucking being done with it.

My 2c.  (Your way might work....but the KTC way DOES work)
Dude is making it worse on himself. Withdrawals by weaning AND still poisoning himself with nicotine.

Cold turkey man; it's the only way to go.

@Findin12, dude just lay the shit down cold. Flush it and walk the hell away. You are NOT doing yourself any favors by trying to wean yourself off of it. It's not a medication, man; it's poison. The can may as well have a skull and crossbones on it. You made it this far; now make it one more step. BE DONE.

discuss...

Man if I had quit 20 years ago I'd be much happier today...I guess 20 years from today me will be much happier than I am now.

If I had quit 20 years ago....hmmm...well for one thing, I would never have met all the Bad Ass MoFos of quit here at KTC! In my 150 days here I have made many great connections.  But it is an interesting and thought provoking question.

Wait a minute, who the fuck am I kidding.  I couldn't quit on my own at any time in the past...so I think this is a trick question.

 ;)

-Jeff

I mean you guys are cool, but if I didn't have to have you in my life I'd have saved a shit ton of money, time, and fights.

Don't worry, with friends like us, we will STILL waste a bunch of your time, and get you into plenty of fights......ya F'er! ;)
