Im not sure where to post this but i'm thinking of quiting and to be honest i'm nervous as clinton in church. ive never tried to quit before but im sick of always having to $4 at a time bc i left a can at home or somewhere and need one, i spend a ton of money a year on it as it is. i never really thought about alot of the things i put myself through just because i dip. i just dont want to start and then mess up or not be able to finish. any feedback would be helpful.

You're in the right place if you want to quit. The folks here will help you every step of the way. And don't worry about being scared... I was scared shitless when I first quit. We won't lie to you and tell you it's easy. We won't coddle you. This will be the most difficult thing that you will ever do in your life.

You'll want to give up.
You'll feel like shit.
You'll hate us.
You'll hate your world.

And then... you'll be quit. And the fog will lift, the craves will decrease, and you will gain a level of freedom that you haven't had in years (decades?). Like I said, no one will ever tell you it's easy, but we WILL tell you the truth... that the freedom you gain is 100% worth all of the blood, sweat and tears you put into it.

Ask anyone here... they'll echo what I'm saying.

As for concrete steps? Go here: index.php?showtopic=7170 Introduce yourself, and post roll. It's your daily promise that you won't dip today. That's it. We'll deal with tomorrow when we get there.

Once you've done that... read. Read EVERYTHING. Pick a group, start from the beginning and read everything. Read the welcome center, read the main site. You've stumbled across the greatest quitting tool available.

Welcome to the rest of your life... let me know how I can help.

Looks like strong was distracted by a hummer under the desk provided by the toothless nic bitch. Being scared of failing is ok, convincing yourself that you are going to fail is not. You need to realize that stuff was killing you. Get mad at it. Hate it. Hate it with a vengeance. You'll realize that hate will serve you well down the road.

New blog post:  The War On Drugs Has Failed - An Infographic

http://blog.killthecan.org/2012/09/the- ... fographic/
First they show a bar chart and a graph that contradict each other in whether high school senior illegal drug use has gone up or down. Then they state that legal drugs, Tobacco and Alcohol, kill more people than illegal drugs. Then conclude the war on illegal drugs has failed? Are they trying to make a case to legalize everything? If so they screwed it up royally by pointing out legal drugs kill more people.

I think the guys who made the advertisement were on drugs.

New blog post:  Looking To Quit Dipping? Here's 13,000 People To Help!

http://blog.killthecan.org/2012/09/look ... e-to-help/
Just curious, how many active quitters are there on any given day?
How are you defining "active"? Number of people on the site? Number of people posting roll?
those posting roll on a semi-regular basis.
It's been a while since I've gone through and counted up roll calls. But I can tell you that the forums are running at about 8,000 unique visitors per month this year.
Wow! That is awesome.

I must say this is the oddest forum I've ever joined... all the discussions in one GIANT thread... you can't start your own topic.. what gives?

BYW, day two of my journey.

If you haven't already, you can start an intro thread and say what you like. There are also plenty of topics in wildcard and sports. If you want to talk about something you don't see a thread for, just ask and we'll see what we can do.

Most important thing right now (day 2) is posting roll, keeping your word and spending as much time as you can reading this website.

Yell if you need anything.
