I had quit for over 3 months and now have an empty tin of skoal in my car from a few days of use. Anyone ever have a relapse or failure of quitting?
I never had a "relapse." I had times when I quit and then wussed out and CHOSE to take a dip.

Relapse makes it sound like you couldn't help it. We are all responsible for our choices here.

Dump the remainder of the tin and go post a day in August. Read about what we do at the WELCOME CENTER link above.

There is absolutely no reason to ever ingest nicotine again.

You can do this.

Yell if you have any questions.

Hey guys new to the forum and to quiting I'm on day 1!! I just went to the store and bought NICORETE gum with idea that this would be a helpful way to stop chewing, but from what I'm reading here this is not a good way to quit?? I did order some smokeles alternatives now also but should i toss the gum?? 'bang head'
You should toss the gum. You're addicted to nic. It makes no sense to use the drug you're addicted to in order to quit the drug you're addicted to, right?

Nicotine gum does keep someone else profiting off of your decision to "quit" though.

The statistics are clear that your best shot of quitting is to go cold turkey. Using this site and following its time proven methods will raise your chances of being quit to 100%.

Toss the gum and post roll in August 12 quit group today. Let's get it done. We'll help you.

If you haven't already, look up at the WELCOME CENTER link above and go there and read about why we post roll.

I look forward to seeing you post roll and declaring your freedom. I'll not be a slave again. Will you join me?

New blog post:   Heartburn When Quitting Dip

http://blog.killthecan.org/2012/04/hear ... tting-dip/
Great article man, I was wondering about heartburn.
agree with Sabre .... good article ... thanks
To start, I dipped for the better part of 35 years. The past 5 years, I have had a constant fight with GURD/Heartburn. As of today, I'm at day 7, and the only heartburn felt, was Cinco-De-Mayo (food  beer).

Hello ! seems kinda like a dead forum. Its too bad, I was an OG of this forum back in the day. I didn't have too many posts, but I was around and did accomplish the 100 day challenge. Though I had a relapse... It is good to see that this forum is still here, however I hope it can still offer the support that it once did. My Name is Josh, and I want to quit Dip, Hopefully we can help each other in our support to kick the Tin. I want to hear from you ! 'zombie' (only cause im back from the dead)
100 day challenge ?
If you're looking to quit "again", then you didn't accomplish anything, other than to take a break.

Not sure this is the forum you had visited. That said, if you're ready to "quit" (as opposed to "pause") then you're in the right place.

Welcome!
I am going to agree and say you must have been on another site? If not then you are using a new name which is against the rules here, snice this account only shows two posts. If you were here before under another name you need to let one of us know what your old name was so we can delete this one and you can go back to your other name.

If you are truly ready to quit then you are in the right place. We just need to get some house cleaning in order before you get too far along.
Wow. Reading posts like this reminds me of the depth of the deception that we ALL used to be consumed in. You're an addict, buddy. Like a heroin user or crack whore. This is a fight for my life, not a 100 day challenge. Good stuff.
100 day challenge I thought was the time you first moved in with your girlfriend.

Now quitting can be a challenge of sorts, but it's never ending. Once you start you never stop, not even after 100 days. The nic bitch will challenge you and try to trick you but with the great team assembled within these here walls you will win every challenge. Read everything you can and learn her tricks so you can avoid the pitfalls and you will have a successful quit.
He seems very serious about quitting with his 2 posts and not actually quitting. But this site is dead and has no support 'Crazy'
That's on us... perhaps we're just not active enough ;)
