chewie's tip of the day

Stop dipping for you  no on else. Keep the promise you've made to yourself. Reward yourself along the way, because each step taken toward quitting is a big accomplishment.

I took Zoloft when I was 17 for depression and all I can remember is I couldn't get a hard on for the life of me (not that it mattered). I was then switched to serzone (had to look it up it's been so long) and it didn't have the sexual side effect, but it didn't work at all for depression. If it doesn't get better in a month, then I will see a doc.
2 wordsÂ…

Lexapro

AndÂ…donÂ’t wait a monthÂ…you obviously have a history with depression and you know itÂ’s not going to get better donÂ’t you? So why put yourself through it if it can be avoided? Make that appointment today. Get the scrip this afternoon and lift the burden..

DisclaimerÂ…LOOt is not a doctor. LOOT has played doctor tho.

D…sounds like maybe you are getting hit pretty hard with the depression aspect of quitting. The “I lost my best friend” routine was one LOOT perfected, so…LOOT feels like he has some legs to stand on when he offers this advice. Go see a doctor bro. That is one person who you can talk to. Tell him how you feel and ask for some help. He’ll hook you up with some meds to calm the depression and ease the anxiety/panic attacks. LOOT tried the majority of the antidepressants. Lexapro worked best for LOOT. LOOT also took some Xanax to help with the ample rage. There is no shame in taking some meds for a couple months, LOOT did about a 6 month stint of antidepressants and in a lot of ways, they saved the world from LOOT…and more importantly saved LOOT from LOOT.

I have no one to talk to actually. Nobody wants to hear about my problems at work or anywhere I go. I am not sure if talking about it would help. It just reminds me of the pain and horror that I feel. Also, I have acne now, which I haven't had a problem with since I was about 19.
You have hundreds of folks to talk to, right the fuck here. Everyone wants to hear about your problems right here. Come here, let it out, share the madness with us. We will understand. We have been where you're at, your quit bros. are where you're at. We are your shoulder to lean on when the shit hits the fan. Use the tools.

Piss on the acne, get some of that "Proactive" shit that Jessica Simpson uses. Pimples beat the hell outa cancer. It's probably just your body detoxing.

I miss everything about my Red Man now. Even the picture on the bag of the Native American who has a somewhat sad look on his face. Sometimes he would come out of the bag and talk to me. I could relate to him. He would listen to me tell him about all of my problems while I chewed my cud into nothing, and not say a word. He wouldn't judge me, or get bored with me; just listen. His face is all it took for me to open up about anything; everything. He was a good man, a quiet man, a reserved man. I am glad I saved the last bag I had, so I can keep looking at this man's face when I'm lonely with no one to talk to.
That fucker is a sonofabitch!
A no-good lying stone-faced fucking bastard that will sneak up behind you and slice your throat open from the inside out!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop the nostalgic bullshit now! It will kick your ass when you least expect it. Toss out that empy fucking pouch and start living the quit-life. Don't get quit and try to re-live your past. Close the fucking door, nail the fucker shut, and be done. _

Maybe if he has a hole in his cheek, or half his jaw, like the rest of us are going to have if we keep chewing, that picture might not be so appealing. You have plenty of people to talk to. Been there.
