Hows it going everyone.  Going to the ENT doc today for him to check out a few things.  Another quick question.  the last 6-7 years I would gut my chew and not spit (I know it is stupid but just how it happened).  Did anyone else do this as well? Just me being worried that I was the biggest idot ever? I don't have thing pointing to an issue assoiated with this but thought I would ask if anyone else did the same. Thanks,

Seth
I also did not spit. I do have burning and take prilosec. Do not know if normal for my age or from chew. Also since quit have an increase in burning but have not gone to doctor as it is not intolerable.
Yes thankfully I do not have anything but a sore throat off and cold symptoms here and there. I'm only 31 but I also have a number of other bad habbits like eating almost anything. I have stopped that now but still don't have the best diet. You are better at this them me because I think my worries get the best of me and half my doctors appoinments lately are so I can sleep a little better at night ;) Hang in there man and thanks for the reply.

I had acid reflux/GERD before I quit dipping. After I quit it got MUCH worse for about 6 months or so. At this point I rarely deal with it and don't even take medication any more.

So your asking if we spit or swallowed?

Don't think you were the biggest idiot...we all are equal in how stupid we were. But we are now all equal in how smart we are.
I for one seldom swallowed dip because of the horrible hiccups I would get.

Yep, that is what I'm asking but did after I typed it I did not have the nerve to say it straight out :D
KTM, when replying to posts like this do not cut and paste like you do in roll call.
Just type your message in the upper box and leave the lower box alone.
MikeA,

Thanks for the heads up. I'm slowly getting the hang of how this work. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply and the link.  Yes I'm feeling better from the health issue that started about a month ago and I went to the Doctor for this and also had them look for other things and all that was found was my thyroid was slow and swollen. One doctor said I have Hashmoto's?  Also went to the dentist and he said all looks good but we are awaiting the new Visline test to make sure.  The feeling of my swollen throat and toung may also be due to the thyroid issue (At least that is what I have found on the internet?)  But as said before it still is scary.  Thanks again,

KTM -
To add to what mule (and your doctors) have said. My tongue and throat went through this exact same thing when I quit. Seeing a doc is never a bad idea but I'd say from what you've said this is nothing more than withdrawal from nic.

chewie,

Thanks for the support. It is amazing how this little can can control your life. I'm a large big tough guy and this little can was kicking my ass. Well I guess I just hold on for the ride and with time the hard parts will pass. I hope to have a profile pic soon and starting to get the hang of posting. Sorry to everyone if I hi Jacked this thread. Thanks again.

Great tropics. Great coaching analogy. I'm new on here and on quit day 20 and it is hard to the least. My main question now is my throat feel swollen and my toung feels thick/swollen. Not all the time but is seems to start around mid day? Some back history is I have had some health issues in the last month. To long of a list but healthy up to this last month. Most health issues started a few week before I quit. Over all just scared and wanted to know if this is withdrawl like described on this site. Thanks,
Ktm640
I'm not a doctor and i don't play one on tv....but i do know i went thru physical ailments that scared me early in my quit. Personally, i went to the doctor and dentist for a check up. Counted myself fortunate after almost 30 years to still be all right.

http://www.killthecan.org/yourquit/symptoms.asp

this has some good common info we all generally go thru and you are certainly better off quitting....always. Probably just your body's way of getting back at you for taking it's pacifier.....any major concerns should be checked out with your physician.
